I don't really recognize Capelli at all in Resistance 3. Not just because he no longer wears the hat, doesn't appear as buff, and has a different voice. His face looks really different too.
So Hale can blow up stuff by pointing at it, takes thousands of alien weaponry that turn any other into a bloody mess, but can't take a single shot to the head. :( At least he created an antidote.

Awesome ass ending, couldn't have been better, I can't say the same for Resistance 3, that whole story sucked on that one, and Capelli doesn't even look OR sound like he did in RES2.
they should have made this a more epic scene .Resistance games have potential but Insomniaci isn't very good at telling stories .The game"s story could have been executed way better

And really all they are are just really easy to kill bots that come 20 at a time? I though they would lunge at you and try and rip your face off.

i definitely liked R1 and R2 better than R3, i hated the new "old school" health mechanics, it is a cheap way to make the game harder and longer....i hated R2 ending tho, for me, it made R3 feel like an unnecesary "just for the money" secuel, say what you want, but for me, Nathan Hale was Resistance
@chaggo21 But all regenerating health does is slow the pace of the game down and make it easier, and that doesn't apply to just Resistance.
They took it out and made Resistance 3 feel a lot more like the first one, which is a very good thing. Not saying 2 wasn't good, it was great, but it's the worst out of the 3, definitely.

@chaggo21 Well, it makes sense from a lore standpoint. At the start of Resistance 3, only 10% of the world's population is left alive and every single country has been overrun by the Chimera, so you probably wouldn't be finding many soldiers by that point.

When I played this 3 years ago I thought it was a huge downgrade from R1 overall. The whole Florida swamp part was weak and annoying. City and suburbs were ok. R1 had a unique faded tape look to it and more realistic design in my opinion.

I think that the Chimeras are Winter creatures and they lived in a cold planet. Then their planet got destroyed so they looked for the closest planet they could find which is ours but it was a problem because we have a sun so it wouldn't have been a good place for them to live and thats why they use those teleportation towers to blockade the sun with their destroyed planet and make our planet like the one they had

@younfellony see insomniac did other games and they move on and thats what their doing with resistance franchise. they might let some other studio take on the series but not insomniac anymore. also they didnt make the resistance retribution game on psp so maybe that company will do it who knows. but i really like resistance and i hope who ever is in charge of it in the future, i hope they do a good job on it just like the whole series was a great one.

Its hard to believe that one bullet killed hale, especially after that boss fight wit the tentacle monster (forgot his name) who took a shit ton of missals/bullets right in the face and hale supposed to be much stronger than him after absorbing his powers.
@ZzUnforgottenzZ in the first resistance, he was infencted with the chimerian virus, but it takes a long time for the virus to transform you unless the chimera do it in special transformation factories. over the course of the 2nd game, Hale was slowly transforming into a chimera until finally at this point, he became full blown chimera.
@mamobster1500 sentinels are people that have the virus but do not turn right away. there was a treatment for it but hale was too far along to get treated

So, after playing as Hale through both Resistance 1 & 2, we get THIS bullshit ending?!
No. Just no. They made Hale go threw all these battles and get godlike psychic powers, only to kill him off at the end?

I really, really, REALLY hope they bring him back somehow. Even as a side character, or final boss. Since he gained godlike power at the end of this game, it would not be too far fetched for him to make a retern! :)
Esspesialy since the other characters thew out the games noted that Hale was a unique case among the infected. I was really hoping that he would develop the benefits of the Chimera (regen, enhansed strenght and reflexes and more), but keep his will his own (or at least have it contend with is Chimera side: kind of like Ichigo and his Hollow from Bleach ^_^ )
Overall, I hope they explain this in the next game :DDDD
If Hale says this is just the beginning, will there be until like Resistance 20? And then the end when humankind is about to lose then Hale arrives and then saves then asses again.

@ZaMadGam3r apparently their a hybrid between humans and chimera. there was a russian doctor (forgot his name) he mixed human and chimera dna or something and created them. they resemble humans except they have glowing amber colored eyes just like nathan hale in the ending of resistance 2 who was in the advanced stage of the infection. the cloven formed their own faction and are hostile towards human and chimera. but they behave savagely and eat their comrades when they are killed.
@ym987654321 dude it's just my opinion. You don't need to be a bitch because I don't agree with you. Yes, this game has it's epic moments. No, this ending isn't awesome. I know that they got lazy because I have a lot of experience. Animation takes a lot of time, which is the reason most of the story is driven during gameplay. Laziness happens to the best of us.

There's nothing good about regenerating health at all. It makes games easier and slows down their pace by quite a margin.

Nathan Hale - confirmed by Insomniac to be deceased. One of the trailers to R3 also shows a cross with the words - "Nathan Hale" written on it.

@IRAQYsniper95 Well in the new game, the chimera have won and have taken over the world. I don't think that in the new game the small number of resistance fighters are going to kill all the chimera and win the war. So I believe that yes there will be a number 4.

I loved the game powers were awsome at the end just so sad that Hale had to die :( it was all of a sudden too, I hope that we get to see him with a miraculous entrance in Resistance 3, well I wont get my hopes up too high though, still overall great game cant wait for Resistance 3!!

Its hard to believe that one bullet killed hale, especially after that boss fight wit the tentacle monster (forgot his name) who took a shit ton of missals/bullets right in the face and hale supposed to be much stronger than him after absorbing his powers.

@ZzUnforgottenzZ in the first resistance, he was infencted with the chimerian virus, but it takes a long time for the virus to transform you unless the chimera do it in special transformation factories. over the course of the 2nd game, Hale was slowly transforming into a chimera until finally at this point, he became full blown chimera.

@ZzUnforgottenzZ I think it's still possible, but doubtful. In the E3 2011 trailer there was a cross in the ground with "Hale" written on it. I'm guessing that's where he was buried. I hope he is somehow in R3 too.

Dr. Malikov from resistance 2 develops a cure to the chimera virus and thus causing capelli to lose his superhuman powers, so the gameplay will not have regenerating health but med kits.

No. Just no. They made Hale go threw all these battles and get godlike psychic powers, only to kill him off at the end?

I really, really, REALLY hope they bring him back somehow. Even as a side character, or final boss. Since he gained godlike power at the end of this game, it would not be too far fetched for him to make a retern! :)

Though Im still annoyed about it.
Esspesialy since the other characters thew out the games noted that Hale was a unique case among the infected. I was really hoping that he would develop the benefits of the Chimera (regen, enhansed strenght and reflexes and more), but keep his will his own (or at least have it contend with is Chimera side: kind of like Ichigo and his Hollow from Bleach ^_^ )
Overall, I hope they explain this in the next game :DDDD

@ZaMadGam3r apparently their a hybrid between humans and chimera. there was a russian doctor (forgot his name) he mixed human and chimera dna or something and created them. they resemble humans except they have glowing amber colored eyes just like nathan hale in the ending of resistance 2 who was in the advanced stage of the infection. the cloven formed their own faction and are hostile towards human and chimera. but they behave savagely and eat their comrades when they are killed.

@ym987654321 dude it's just my opinion. You don't need to be a bitch because I don't agree with you. Yes, this game has it's epic moments. No, this ending isn't awesome. I know that they got lazy because I have a lot of experience. Animation takes a lot of time, which is the reason most of the story is driven during gameplay. Laziness happens to the best of us.
