I was young the first time I saw this, just a kid, so I didn't really understand. But now the thing that sticks out most aside from the love between Monica and Alan, is Dr. Cahill. I understand that a doctor can be blunt with another doctor, but shouldn't a friend be A LOT more sympathetic to a friend?
Easily one of the most gorgeous soap opera love scenes ever created. Monica's fear, Alan's determination to chase it away, the love between them, and all without words and in the reflection of a mirror. Just brilliant acting. Gods, I miss these two together onscreen.
I also like how the writers let Monica recently even mention she had breast cancer. It ashame she couldn't have been alittle comfort to Alexis when she went her cancer ordeal.
I must say this one does leave you me speechless. I have got to say without a doubt that "The Mirror Scene" is my all time favorite. I mean no words need to be spoken its all in the gestures.
Wow! Dr. Cahill certainly doesn't pull any punches. The mirror scene, with no words spoken between the two of them, is one of the most emotional scenes ever. The conversation they have in bed is touching with Alan's loving thoughts about what excites him about Monica. Thanks for posting...keep it coming!

She's in denial. Later on, you find out that it's the lack of control of her situation that made it frustrating for her.

This is my favorite scene in the breast cancer story line. No words were needed for these two.

The best LOVE SCENE I have ever seen was the mirror scene. I mean all that passion without uttering a word. How many other couples can do that??

All I can say with misty eyes is "be still my beating heart"! And maybe "Damn they're good!"
