  • Yes, that's exactly right--the projector in a rig like this would be mounted upside down on the ceiling and would project the image downward over the driver's head (T-cam style, but in reverse) down onto the screen.

My own rig is very similar (also HD, but using a Mitsubishi HC3800), projecting onto a screen which is probably closer to the projector and driver both.

The projected image DOES throw a shadow, due to backlight the drivers head and shoulders (mine does anyway).

    Truly ROCKS in use.

  • where do you mount a projector for something like this... is it like right over your head or something? i always wondered because when you watch a movie or sports you don't sit right infront of the image like with a racing sim

  • Hi,

I work on a simular setup, can you tell me what beamer you use?

    Cheers

  • @Curbmaster0312

Hi, the beamer is a Sanyo PLV-Z2000. You can see all the details of my setup on The Way I Play, my website.

    Cheers!

  • I would enjoy it a bit more it u were a better pilot.

  • Well, driving with one hand while filming with the other ain't easy. ;)

  • Hehehe so apologize me =)

  • You are right though mate. I will put up another video with the camera stationary and do some good driving. Should be more spectacular! :)

  • Looks quite real with the wheel in the actual correct position and the virtual wheel off. Nice.
