@audreykimmy it might be because when your rolling the hair without extension more hair would fall out and not make it look like a bob. if you have the extensions in then it might hold the hair in better, or her natural hair doesnt have the length to make a good length bob

in the 40's and 50's, this type of bob with a hairband was worn fluffed out slightly, so the thicker the better :)
