So many memories. This song literally changed my life. I heard it while playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City when i was 12 (yeah, I had awesome parents lol) and man, talk about getting struck by lightening...after this I was hooked on metal, and the combined forces of Maiden and Randy Rhoads' is what led me to play guitar instead of doing any actual school work :)

Adrian smith plays the best meaningful riff & solos than dave in all maiden album which he's in. Gers is the worst. Bruce Dickinson is the best heavy metal singer after the late Ronnie James. steve & nicko is what makes iron maiden music alive. they are the best.

Sure, Dave Murray might be able to play the guitar slightly better/quicker, but some of Iron Maiden's best solos are the ones Adrian Smith plays. He is able to put a lot more emotion into his playing than Dave Murray can, and don't even get me started on Janick Gers...

Both time I've seen Maiden I was on the right of the stage so naturally I always have an easier time seeing Gers since Smith and Murray are always on the left but Smith is amazing and when they're trading solos together it's truly epic.

@Xiolablu3 i think the beauty of maiden is the two different yet distinct guitar styles. Adrains solos are usually my preffered ones but i think Dave adds a different dimension than smiths. In my opinion you could never have one withoutn the other. Plus both of the styles are so unique, daves wierd legato/trill technique is perhaps kinda ahead of its time. Ade is still best....Janick throws his guitar round....wich looks cool :)

Same with other songs, Adrians additions are absolutely crucial to making the song sound awesome. Of course the two togther is the best thing ever. Dont like Jannicks style in the older maiden stuff apart from the extra guitar harmony in flight 666's the Trooper, which I think is actually probably Adrian's addition again. (just a guess

And fair enough that Janicks style on the older maiden stuff doesnt really fit :/ probs coz of his slightly messy yet quite technical style, still like his playing tho, plus he looks like a badass. But yeh, hes no in the same league. Daves solos are awsome but are probs not as memorable, i see your point sir :)
