100% dynamic rollover. just watch the right wheel pivot point. Only people that don't understand this don't agree. So that shows their knowledge on the subject. Do the maths and draw out the thrust vectors and it'll show what that huge tail rotor will do

Looks to me like he was doing a left pedal turn and the right tire caught the ground while he was turning. Escalated fast. Bet he'll keep his hover a little higher next time.

@Acceptable76 The nice part about blades is that they're laminated honeycomb core covered by a sheet aluminum skin. Strong but very light, they have no weight compared to their area, so they do get thrown a bit but flutter and fall most of the time. A rotor very rarely flies like an arrow.

Jesus! The old low power drift again I say! Has anyone else flown Mi'S and had the same problem as I did? I am not shitting about it but each of these accidents seems to me to be similar. Put it down and live. There is no warning and if you are unsure be unsure very fast. I don't get it. Trying to stay aloft and work out why you can't stay aloft does not make sense to me!

Scratch one Russian chopper. Helicopters sure are weird machines.Hard to say what happened there.

He sure had the TR close to that stage where it could get damaged, awful low too for confined area practice. Maybe it was a good old crosswind causing ring state on the TR.

@poexxope Don't think he clipped the TR somewhere. Wouldn't we see some debris in that case? Could be a case of "running out of pedal" or LTE. The helicopter starts spinning opposite of the direction of the main rotor. Could be something else though....
