the reason why they yell at you for moving is cause it effects the brainwaves on the EEG lols so its harder for them to tell whats what.

I remember when I had my EEG it was really annoying and uncomfortable and took soo long. took them a while to diagnose me with JME though, still get the twitches which is annoying. and when my boyfriend sees me have a gmal it makes him worry alot but atleast he cares lols :) im lucky he didnt ditch when I told him.

the electrodes don't hurt. they're just wires attached to your head. the moving the legs thing is i don't know i think if you cross your legs you're not letting your body do what it naturally would you know? so it may affect if you seize or not. i could be wrong but that's the only way i could make sense of it. the only part that i hated was the hyperventilating. that sucked

yeah, i don't actually have it, but they thought what i had sounded like it but when i had a 48 hour EEG they didn't find it so they took back the diagnosis lol. My bro might have it though, he's had a grand mal, they just thought my jerks were myoclonic. I'm glad yours is better though! seizures are really scary...

yeah, the thing that i hated the most was the hyperventilation cause i thought i was gonna pass out every time i had to do it, and like my whole body was like numb and i'd cross my legs or something and they'd yell at me lol. for the 48 hour one they also attached the electrodes with this crazy adhesive so they wouldn't come off like when i slept, and it took me a week to get that stuff out of my hair, i was shedding white stuff like crazy lol.

Lol I've had 8 EEG's in the last 6 months they suck so much.. th elongest was a 2 week long one.. SO hard to get thatglue out.. What did they say yor twitching was?

they didn't really say. they just said it wasn't anything they knew about. they said it's probably muscle contractions or something. i don't know. they just said the EEG didn't show anything.
