Firefighter Corey Ankum and Firefighter Edward Stringer weren't thinking about race when they gave their lives side by side in a horrible tragedy last December. They died as HEROES and brothers, not in race, but as brothers in the fire service, which is supposed to be the strongest brotherhood their is. Pumping water, using tools & equipment etc. BUT, each apparatus carried only 3-4 firefighters. The 12-15 firefighters from those trucks "just sitting there" were busy working putting out the fire using equipment from the first in apparatus, leaving theirs available. But you're too stupid to know that.

There are plenty of black firefighters on our job. Some of the best firemen I know happen to be black. These companies in this video are some of the busiest in the city, most good firemen strive to work on busy companies. Seniority is the criteria. Some people like working on busy companies, some people like working on slow companies. There are black firemen on the west side, and most of them I would trust my life with. Get over this race crap. They died as HEROES and brothers, not in race, but as brothers in the fire service, which is supposed to be the strongest brotherhood their is. @daydoe0219 This comment shows your lack of knowlege and intellect. Usually, when there is a fire, the first apparatus are the ones that are commited to the fire, and involved in the operations. Pumping water, using tools & equipment etc. BUT, each apparatus carried only 3-4 firefighters. The 12-15 firefighters from those trucks "just sitting there" were busy working putting out the fire using equipment from the first in apparatus, leaving theirs available. But you're too stupid to know that.

There are plenty of black firefighters on our job. Some of the best firemen I know happen to be black. These companies in this video are some of the busiest in the city, most good firemen strive to work on busy companies. Seniority is the criteria. Some people like working on busy companies, some people like working on slow companies. There are black firemen on the west side, and most of them I would trust my life with. Get over this race crap.
