the only way to stop this madness is to actually catch & jail the thieves by setting up stings like they do with cars. i too lost a brand new R1, only had 20 miles on the odometer...my replacement bike a GSXR1000 (i flogged it for over 5K miles & decided enough was enough when my anger got the best of me and I almost did the unimaginable to a kid that tried to tail me to find where i park it ) to make a long story short..it was stolen in a mere 2 weeks from the buyer when I gave up the hobby = )
