Then, should i just replace the old file in my dropbox folder with the new one, and changes will automatically take effect on the web? or how is it done? Thanks! Peace...

  • wow, this really works. just instead of dot com, its dot tk. i think I can live with that lol. thank you so much.

  • how can you update you website?

  • @EverythinElectronic Go back to iWeb update what you need to update, publish it to dropbox again. Then when you log into ".tk" click "My domains" -> "List My domains"->then click "Modify" and u know what to do from there.

  • do you have to write the name of the website like the one you did??

  • when i click on my site name it comes up with blank white.. :\

  • @maz9792 - i think there is an option to "forward" that website to your new one. it's an option i saw, you just have to type in your old website and then it will forward everyone to your new one.

  • thank you!

  • hey man thankz a million i need this peace man i subbed

  • why cant i bring up site?

  • Thankssssss!!!! THANKSSSS!!!

  • i dont get it :I

  • it says on the tk site that i have to pay even when i have klicked the free version?

  • spyware

  • DON´T USE DROPBOX!!! IT IS SPYWARE!!! if you really want to publish a website use an ftp server or get the real mobileme or else don´t publish anything! and also don´t try that google-thing! EVERYTHING coming from google is spyware that goes inside the root-area of your computer and views more than you.

  • @ichhabsvergessenmist wait so you mean all the apps I found from searching on goodgle have spy ware on them?!?!

  • @kandywithakayTK yep! luckily you can just delete the apps BUT if there was any software included with any app (for example an updater that wants root access well then google is just viewing all your files and the only thing you can do is going into safe mode and trying to find any google related software and deleting it but I'm not sure!!!) I formatted my whole hardrive 2 times after I found out about that and I'm NOT kidding this is fucking SERIOUS!!!

  • thanks man

  • thanks lots :)

  • wow thanks dude

  • Can you edit the site later on after it have been made into a site?

    please help

  • OMFG! Thanks for this tutorial mate! no more shitty Piczo sites or playing Pounds(bills) your a fricking star!

  • what mac do u have

  • bro, any idea how to do this on iWeb 08'??

  • is the Blog comments functionally working in this process?

  • Awsome man

  • What if I already have a domain that I bought?

  • I don't know man sorry.

  • @isightimac do you have a web server?

  • @isightimac Set up your purchased domain to forward to your site location. For example, I bought my domain "Iheartcats.co" from 1and1.com. When I login to 1and1 and edit my settings so that when people visit Iheartcats.co it forwards them to the dropbox public link.

  • than why wouldnt u use the FTP thing in the drop down box for "publish to" in iweb?

  • @Maz9792

i think there is only way.using url redirect.

you cant bind your domain to dropbox public directory.

url redirect it's not perfect, but ,it work fine.and iweb publish to a directory is work fine with dropbox(because of dropbox using version control system).

  • @Maz9792 upload the index.html file to your domain

  • @Maz9792 or go redirect the public folder link to your domain

  • @Maz9792 Sorry for super late reply, but you set it as a redirect or frame holder...

  • @Maz9792 put the FTP Instead of local folder, put the FTP info, then publish!

  • How do you spell the website you go to to make the url shorter?

  • wow!!! Where did you get that backround?!

  • type in snow leopard backround on google images and it should come up.

  • and it shud be in ur wallpaper folder or w/e in system preferences>desktop and screensavers. well i suppose if u have tiger or something
