  • Sublime

  • m ricorderà sempre te

  • Richard Godly

  • Squibber

  • that was lovely

  • I absolutely LOVE this song, it's beautiful. In fact the whole album is stunning, it's music that actually means something and evokes emotion. Richard Hawley is awesome!!!

  • He looks a little like elvis costello...or someone I dunno

  • richard makes timeless music.

  • Possibly my favourite song of the last ten years. Magnificent.

  • Tuneful and restful.

  • Simply sublime...

  • I love this, and i think it's slightly frank sinatra sounding ?! (that's a good thing)

  • Such a stunningly beautiful album and now RH has given Tony Christie his best album ever.

  • i have been lookin 4 this song 4 ages since hearin it on the trailer 4 sex in the city and the weird thing is im a die hard punk

  • no you aren't.

  • I know........same here. Open up your door is the other the Sex and City. I'm more of A Strokes man but this is class.

  • @Ricer1968 yep, me too, count me in. Into rock and punk but absolutely fell in love with 'Open up your door'. The guy reminds me of Lloyd Cole a bit too.

  • Yeah me too, been drivin me bonkers. So pleased to have discovered this bloke for myself, well chillin innit!!!!

  • just because your die hard punk doesnt mean anything, its punk just being able to express yourself anyway you want, it doesnt mean you have to have the big rooster mohawk, you can be wearing office clothes and still be punk, punk is a mindstate not a fashion or musical taste, like look at this dude, he is the punk of his music, hes not trying to be anyone, well maybe eric clapton, but still he is his own, to me thats being punk, just expressing yourself but of course in a raw type of manner

  • sorry i meant to say elvis costello not eric clapton, i dunno how i got that confused, probably because of the E's and the glasses, they are both kinda dorky lookin, same as this guy

  • a new christmas song, in a weird and woderful way

  • Yeah........ maybe nxt x-mas we can start our own campagin

  • @FernardoTorres9 I like that idea!

  • Wish I'd known about this song sooner it's amazing, absolutely adore it

  • ahh this song !!!!!!! i heard this song for the sex and the city advert and i coudn't found !!! so glad, this song is so beautiful !

  • this song is the new sex in the city advert, hopefully it gets him more exposure - totally underated :)

  • i like the bit in the video when the music has all gone beautiful and melodic with violins in the backround and the dog is pissing on his leg-weird but funny

  • Beautiful. What an intro. Goosebumps or what? Another fantastic Sheffield export.

  • Just heard this song for the first time on Radio 2 - Came on You Tube to see if I could find it -Absolutely beautiful - I thought at first it was Andy Williams or maybe Frank Sinatra. Thank you for putting it on...

  • I really love Richard Hawleys music. I believe he is totally underated. His sound is unique and haunting. If you have a special love in your life it sounds all the better.

  • Classic song, awful video! The comedy is totally misjudged! This one should be heard and not seen.

  • your opinion

  • coles corner is one of my favourite album's ever

    I'll allways listen to it

  • I Love this Song... extraordinary!

  • one of the most beautiful songs from one of the greatest albums of the last 30 years

  • ...I'm gonna buy this album!!!!fuck, this is absolutely class!!!

  • spettacolo Richard!!!

  • questa canzone e video ti mettono in pace col mondo...thank you richard

  • As someone whose parents used to meet at Coles Corner when they were courting in the 1950s, I find this song poignant, touching and heartbreakingly awesome. It captures a period in our beautiful city's history that is fondly remebered by those who lived through it

  • Why, please explain me, is a Cole's corner a particular place? I love this song from the first time I heard it. But, has it got a special meaning? Does it concerning something?

  • Cole Brothers was an old department store in Sheffield, as the shop was on a corner people refered to it as "Coles Corner" It was a popular meeitng place . . . what a great song though, wonderful.

  • Which city?

  • Sheffield, Richard's home town (and mine)

  • Elegantisimo Richard Hawley,calidad indiscutible

  • I hang round with all sorts of people. From 10 bob wanna be gangsters to toffs indy boys ,rock chicks, old coots, bling boyz the lot. Everyone of them loves this fooking tune

  • The guys a legand, far more talent than the majority of "pop" arse whipes that are around today. It was this song that kind of inspired me to propose to my girlfriend, its magical!!

  • it's simple...he's amazing

  • cant make up mind i love best but this got be top three. it will live for ever when people know what hawley is was will be!

  • im new to You tube but what a great site for listening to all the good talent this country has to offer........seen this man once, have all his records, going to see him at the Albert Hall in London and cant wait. What an amazing voice....keep it up Richard.

  • Soo beautiful......makes a heart feel heavy.

  • i first heard him on the radio when i was driving at night with my girlfriend. It was raining and we were crossing a bridge. i can't believe i found this. it's perfect

  • think you mean jaevis is a a total tos pot, talentless. hawley his god to his satan

  • excellent song, i agree jarvis and richard are not exclusive, both are amasing. the jarvis cocker record can hold a flame to lady's bridge.

  • This song is extraordinary......

  • Richie,

Keep it coming... Cannock Jones boys love you

    x

  • jarvis dead n buried, dated 9os... this is timeless, timeless!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't understand why people can't just comment on the song they're listening too, without dragging in comparisons with other artists. I love this song... the video is so sad, but funny.

  • saw the lad tother neet at sheffield city hayy[steps are on this video]the mans voice is from a long lost era..awsome¬!

  • The time has come for everyone to tell everyone else how great RH is and to go buy one of his records. You'll still listen to it ten years from now. Unlike those of Jarvis

  • have to agree with you great stuff what a voice

  • I really like Richard's stuff, but I love Jarvis too. The two things are not mutually exclusive. They're both great, both very different, it depends what you're looking for at the time I guess.
