People who play with fire, religion, often get burned. The reason for this is simply, the truth hurts and some don't want to hear it.
Nick, next episode, you have to explain how shamans and gnostics/ mystics like yourself fit into the religious picture. And why religions periodically burn them. Have your fire extinguisher handy.
IMO for religion and science. I personally dont see them as "enemies" per say. I see science and religion as complimentry to one another.

occultists stand. They use logic, reasoning and evidience (or lack of evidence) etc.

Religion allows for exploration and maturity. Many will use it as a crutch, others as training wheels.
