FR gravity train passes Tan y Bwlch

I went to Dduallt a couple of times to work on the deviation and we returned to Tan y Bwlch under gravity; it was pretty exciting! Possibly not so exciting was the trip up to Dduallt, where we had to push the wagons from T y B to Dduallt.

I'm assuming that that's what you need the speed for.

We used to run Gravy Trains in the 70's to shift works goods back down from Dduallt. These would run after the last weekday train and we could get some decent speeds up once we got past Plas Halt just below TYB. Then a good run down to Rhiw Goch, but had to slow for Penrhyn crossing and to change token/staff at Penrhyn. The on again down to Minfordd was always pretty fast. You needed the speed to get to Boston Lodge.
