What images can you take with the 85mm lense is it a macro lense?

I am completely stuck at choosing a lense,i want an excellent quality image but im going travelling and will probably take pics of both landscape and closeups.

Can you help?

It's not a macro lens. And you aren't probably going to need a tele lens.
