The power in the hands of JDS is just incredible. For example, in a sparring with shogun rua, shogun beat him, because he made a lot of combinations, and hit him a lot with the legs and hands, and JDS could't use his main arm, which is his power. It's obviously that in a real fight JDS would destroy shogun. If this boxer and JDS would have had a real boxing match, JDS would have won, basically because os the size and power. And in a MMA fight... jajaja there would be no boxer any more.

@RooCHToTB Also the boxer is MUCH smaller than Junior, therefore much faster. It's sparring so Junior cannot impose his immense power and tenacious advantages. Lastly I just want to say mixed martial artist whip up on boxers, kickboxers, muay thai fighters, sanda, tae kwon do and karate phenoms and champions standing and their striking deserves a lot more repsect than it gets. It's different even the "boxing" in MMA is much different. You don't compare basketball to foootball for a reason.

@subslament Only UFC fanboyz think that lowkicks is like the holy grail of striking(you can learn to block it, and most importantly u can counter it); alot of mediocre boxers have ventured into kickboxing doing decent against worldclass fighters. And look at handoriented fighters like Hunt and Sefo; there alot of distanses to consider, hard to legkick a guy on the inside. And look at Hoost, one of the greatest losing twice to a muscle-bum like Sapp, that would NEVER happen to a top level boxer

And yeah. I am a huge fan of Sefo and Hunt... But Boxers coming into MMA or K1... Yeah I guess they can 'block' a leg kick... But when you havent taken any hits to your thighs before... And have been training to 'block' a leg kick for 6 weeks before a fight.. It wont do much.

It really IS the kryponite of boxers in a Kickboxing match. No power leg means no power punches. Boxers have NOT done well in K1. at all
