i've only playing for a few months, so can someone explain how to make the muted sound he makes in between chord changes in the chorus? between g, d, and cadd9?

just let off on your left hand a little so ur fingers mute the strings then strum to make the mute sound and then press hard again to make the chord after

an easier way i think is just when you strum take the side of your palm that you strum with and hit the strings in a downward direction as if you are strumming normally. just the only difference is yoru palm is muting the sound when you strum.

That's actually a little harder for beginners ...Its similar to how Jason Mraz plays I'm Yours.

one of two things: you can either place your right hand over the strings and strike them while your hand is still over them, or use your left (this is assuming you're right handed, btw) to do the same, except it'd be up on the neck where you're covering the strings. Hope this helps! God Bless!

just lightly apply the palm to the bridge of your guitar and slowly figure where the good mute is on your guitar

Easily the most amazingly perfect job iv ever heard someone play this song.. but u didnt sing. This song needs to be sung, so if ur not up for singing, just play songs that have mad guitar solos. Still best iv herd someone play this song... but it reli needs to be sung to be complete
