Getting the tracks IS hard but nowhere as hard as the story missions on the toughest difficulty.
After alot of playing you should be able to do it ;d

just beat the emerald cup after like 3 days of playing. Comming in dead last on the blue ocean stage and winning first by 3 points.
Now for the diamond gp I don't think I'm going to be so lucky - those tracks are unforgiving :(
Getting AX would cost you over a thousand bucks, no less. I don't know the exact price however..

The thing is AX is not a gamecube game.
It's an arcade cabinet. There are two versions, too. The latter would cost alot more I think (moving pod instead of regular seat and screen)
