It's not out of tune.. He uses the Electro Harmonix POG on the video.. It mixes the octaves.

Yeah, the rhythm pickup on that one was broken so he got rid of it. He's playing a different guitar now (same model, but a different guitar).

You gotta hand it to him, he makes great sound out of what might be the world's worst designed guitar. The tone and volume knobs are to the left of the strings so you can hit them easily if you're playing chords. There are shows where Jack's guitar volume just cuts out because he hit the volume knob.

Most of their stuff is easy to play, it's supposed to be simple. The whole point of their music is to strip everything down to the basic essentials, hence only 2 people.
