  • Where did you get the veils and the bra n' belt set from?I really like them.

  • @shizandra10 thanks - bra/belt is vintage (1970 or '80s) from Xena Hamdi (DC bellydancer), it's handmade beautiful with pearls and gold beading. I got one veil from Kamaal at a workshop, made a matching one. I can sell all - veils and/or costume - if you're interested just let me know!

  • GREAT VEIL WORK!

  • @shizandra10 Thank You!!

  • AWESOME...LUV THIS SONG

  • what a lovely video and interpretation of the music

  • @kinakinabobina Thank you so much! best to you -

  • Love it. I watch your videos all the time for inspiration. So lucky to have found you and learned about this dance through you.

  • Yeah love seeing fuller figured dancers like me ... you look beautiful

  • Fantastic. Your veil technique is perfect and the dance itself is great!

  • how do you remember all that? thats beautiful

  • thank you!

it's like remembering how to get from the store to home, in segments. Each section of the music, like the high part, low part, fast part, slow part, then do them over until it flows

  • Absolutely

  • really??? so do you count at all??

  • Absolutely! But in small chunks like 4, 8, 16, that way - but after practising a lot it flows together.

  • What material do you use in your veils? They move amazingly! Lovely dance!

  • Thank you! They're tissue lame, edged with sequin trim.

  • adore your veils and the lovely transitions. you are fab!

  • Thank you! My teacher was in the audience, I was very excited!

  • I LOVE your veils! <333 Where can I find some like that?

  • This is very nice!! Nice to put a dancer image in my mind with the pieces you write for the dance magazines!

  • what is the music called

  • that is "1001 Nights" (Af Layla wa Layla), the Samir Srour version (from his cd Vol. 4). He's a super fantastic sax player.

  • I really enjoyed this. Beautiful!

  • Lovely, very nice.
