It's rather funny--Matt Smith got to work with Billie Piper prior to becoming the Doctor (in Ruby in the Smoke and Confessions of a Call Girl). That makes Billie Piper the only actress to have acted along side all of the new series Doctors (so far-although it's outside of the Doctor Who for Matt Smith, and ironically, he's actually the supporting role to her in both programs).

And as far as Matt Smith, I wish people would wait until he's actually playing the Doctor before deciding whether or not he's good at it. He must have impressed those who matter at the auditions, or he would never have gotten the part.
