My blackberry (tour 9630) dosent shown any kind of WIFI option once i click manage connections, it only shows bluetooth and mobile network.

I can connect my wifi but the tick box has a line inside it not the green tick btw i have a WPA pass but im using the default choice so would anyone know how i can get a tick in the wifi box rather then the white line

My BB does not let me put the security type on WEP, the only option i got is PSK (Pre-Shared Key) wich i know is the same but it dosn't allow me to conect.. any help ??

ok i fixed mine the minus ....go to wifi  is where is say set up wifi network, etc

go to mobile network options then is two chioses one say --data services press on and the green check mark will be on your phone ok =-)

I am connected but still i can not surf the net. I notice when i check my connection, the name of my router is there but there's no green check indicator on the right side, a white line like a dash instead.

@ThugLifeForEverr go to options...then advanced options.......then go to browser....press on the default browser configuration the first on the top..click on it then go to Hotspot browser and save it then see if it works

Okay, this still didn't help me. After I scan for a network, then try to connect. It gives me a pin and tells me to put it into my router. How the hell do I do that?

hey guys i fixed this 'enter the pin into the router' thingy

you have to go on your blackberry nd click 'push button setup' under 'scan for networks' nd then click next nd it will ask you to push the 'WPS' button nd then click next nd it will search for the networks nd voila ur done OR u can go the routers website nd disable 'WPS'

@blakspyder Mine is also grey! I don't understand why. It's connected, my network name is on. In the wifi option, I have a minus sign in a box next to my network name :(

@lilmisssharon I solved my problem. I only needed to add my phone's MAC address to my router. It works fine now. :)

I have Dlink DIR-655 router. I found under the wireless settings, there is a place to enter the wifi number produced by the Blackberry. Once I did that, it connects automatically to my router with no problem at all. In fact it connect to router as soon as I am in the routers range.

@mssca When you go to Scan For Networks, you`ll find the one you want and select it. A window will pop up and tell you that the router supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup, at the bottom, there is a Next button (which will take you to where you need to put in a pin) OR the Back button, which won`t actually take you back this time, but will take you to a screen where you type in your Wi-Fi security pin (usually your telephone number unless you changed it). I did that and it connected me.

@lilmisssharon Turn on Wi-Fi and scan, goto bookmarks, Wi-Fi Services and open it, click Wi-Fi Hotspot Login & wait til is says " Your BlackBerry device is now connected to the Internet" Close out, goto Options, Advanced Options, Browser, change default browser configuration from "Internet Browser" to "Hotspot Browser"

When you are done with Wi-Fi or are not in a Wi-Fi Hotspot you must change the "Hotspot Browser" back to "Internet Browser" under Advanced Options.

Thanks for putting this video out, but really all you do is read the menu options. Perhaps next time you can try to reduce echo and explain what some of the more ambiguous options (i.e. Single Profile Scanning) do.

Can you have it, so that you can put in a ID name, then a password (Like the iPhone)? Some networks need your single user ID instead of just everyone using the same network with the same WEP pass.
