  • does anyone know where i can find this movie online?

  • Has to be one of the top 5 classic Canadian films ever made... but more than that it belongs in the international catalog, not just Canada or north America.

  • Waynescountry. I'm almost positive you can pick it up on Amazon.com or E Bay.

    Good luck.

  • Misery, Straight Story, Grey Fox...Farnsworth was the man

  • does anyone no were i can find the full movie

  • SUCH A GENTLEMAN!

  • newbeat128 You got that right. Anything Richard Farnsworth is in I watch.

Got this DVD soon after it came out. Quite a man and quite an actor.

How about Wilfred Brimley and this man in The Natural. Like ham and eggs.

  • @sonarman65 VOS TENES EL DVD DEL ZORO GRIS ? QUISIERA CONSEGUIRLO, GRACIAS, ENRIQUE.

  • This may be one of the best scenes ever put on film.

  • @sonarman65 dude, this is one of the best movies ever put on film

  • Sanlene2. Bought this on DVD years ago. Its out there I'm sure. You just gotta keep diggin. Try E Bay. Good luck.

  • Write to Criterion and suggest this movie.

  • Wish I could see this again. Saw it in the theater when it first came out and never since. It's been a long time but I can still see many of the scenes clearly in my mind's eye. When he brought the apple peeling/coring/slicing machine home to his sister and the reaction that her husband had to it still makes me feel sad. This film is full of heart and soul and a treat to watch.

Someone please get it out on DVD. What is the reason for it's not being available? I'd love to purchase it.

  • This movie needs to come out on DVD right NOW

  • dvd or online rental, i don't care.

just one thing, i wanna see this movie once again.

  • Why oh why isn't this great film available on DVD? I was hoping there'd be a 25th anniversary edition in 2007, but no such luck. My recording made on VHS when it aired on CBC years ago is wearing out. Criterion, are you listening?

  • The Grey Fox was made in 1981 and released in 1982 but it's a timeless movie. It feels like a much older movie than it actually is. A true cinema classic.

  • this is a great film and a great performance from Mr Farnsworth....he seemed a very nice gentleman!

  • I WISH i could see the whole movie i love this actor

  • A very lovely & kind man, & a dear friend. I'm just glad people can see him in the all too few films he made. I'm just sorry that he came to work in front of the camera so late in his life.

I never heard him say anything unkind about anybody except for one man, another stuntman who was much too full of himself.

  • An outstanding movie. Well-loved by those in the 4th Corner.

  • Its an absolute disgrace that this film hasn't been remastered and put ot in HD.

  • I COULD NOT AGREE MORE!!! This is one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life.

  • Richard Farnsworth is one of the all time great character actors.

  • This scene is SOOOO cool; savoring sips of the worlds' finest rotgut likker, relaxing with a stogie or hand-rolled cigarette, the sound of a steam locomotives' whistle in the distance.....and "Grandpa" smashing a bottle against some smart-mouthed punks' face hahaha!

  • the soundtrack for this film is awesome

  • Farnsworth committed euthanasia... on himself... not suicide. Big difference.

  • @fauxtoehead lol. Suicide. He killed himself. Quit trying to church things up, you sound like a Liberal.

  • @pikeymutt I'm an atheist and a liberal and I don't see your point. He shot himself cause he had terminal bone cancer with nothing but intolerable pain and slow death to look forward to. That's euthanasia. I probably would do the same thing. He didn't shot himself because he was depressed. That's suicide. The motivation is the difference.

  • Farnsworth commited suicide:(

  • This is such a classic film. Films today simply aren't made with these textures and feel. Farnsworth is a classic.
