Wow.. were they drunk or something? I've only seen Great Big Sea live once, and it was in 2006 on their Hard and the Easy tour.. but I don't think they played this song... I certainly don't remember Séan..uh.. dancing. Lol.

It was totally a space consideration -- the full concert wouldn't fit on one CD, so the banter is removed from all the songs to make more room for music. Even with all the banter removed, I believe the DVD still has two more songs than the CD. (Don't have the track list in front of me to compare -- sorry!)

On "The Hard and the Easy," because they didn't know, they said this was an anonymous sea song -- they learned it from a sea captain -- but later found out it was a Shel Silverstein poem published in Playboy, and have credited him since.

@marymactavish Shel Silverstein wrote and recorded the song. It was on the album I'm So Good That I Don't Have to Brag, which was released in 1965. It's hard to believe someone would release an album without checking for clearance on all the songs, especially in the twenty-first century, when a quick Google of the lyrics would have told them who wrote it.
