You guys have some guts! It's incredible how tough those rigs are, I think their simplicity has a lot to do with it. By the way, are the rims backward on the front axle?
There are actually two seperate rims for each tire.
The rims on this truck face each each other like a set of dual wheels would on the rear of any truck (minus the split rings). The WWII truck rims were quite narrow and the airplane tires are quite wide, so it works out perfectly.
