I was there! (critic & photogr.), Yes, good ambience, rhetoric of young times... and so..., but this music isn't wine: dont became better with years...
Bruce Ditmas-drums, Mike Richmond-bass, John Abercrombie, Paul Metzke-guitar, David Sanborn-alto sax, Billy Harper-tenor sax, John Stubblefield-tenor sax, Trevor Koehler-bari sax, Lew Soloff, Jon Faddis, Hannibal Marvin Peterson-trumpets, Peter Gordon, Pete Levin-french horn, Tom "Bones" Malone-trombone, Howard Johnson-tuba, Sue Evans, Warren Smith-percussion.
GREAT! Absolutely great! So here is the guessing game:Howard Johnson on tuba, Sue Evans, one of the percussionists, Trevor Koehler on Bari, Billy Harper on tenor. Obviously Gil Evans on Piano Be nice to know who else. Dug the trumpets kicking in with the extra percussion behind the trumpet solo. The tune is Billy Harper's and it is on both of the albums mentioned in the previous postings. Very Nice to see the opening photos of Gil and (guessing) Anita along with some of the band members.Nice!
GenGACuster below isn't wine also.
