  • do you ever stop talking like a retard and just get one with what your saying, i mean you are really helpful and all but god do you drag this out. and do you get paid by heartfelt industries. stop saying that's about it when you finish ever sentence, when you stop wasting half our time with your video to get the info need, make more

  • yaaaaawn. are you still collecting cigars?

  • how do you recharge the beads after you have them in there for a month? just spray the panty hose?

  • the green foam is used by florists

  • Great info but DAMN DUDE!!! Get to the point please. It was GRUELING to stick with this to get the info. Be brief and succinct when you're doing instructional vids man. That said; still great info.

  • i agree massivly

  • hei jerry! u are life saver, i am sure lots of cigar fans were wondering how to deal this problem! anyway your humidor is cool!

  • Have you heard of using soil moist granules?? i use it with 50/50 solution and it works!! i cant find anyone online that uses them though!! Nice collection!! im going to throw mine up there soon!!

  • Wait, so you only need to respray the beads every month?!

So when do you change the beads

  • soicuw - you recharge the beads when they are white instead of clear.

The lifespan of humidification beads is not without limits. Research has shown that all silica gel will slowly lose its adsorption capacity. The natural presence of gaseous pollutants (like ammonia from cigars) will accelerate this process. However, the lifespan of silica gel can be considered roughly 10 years. You can continue to use the beads even longer, but their adsorption characteristics will be lower.

  • First of all, thanks a lot for the info in these vids. However, 35 minutes to show how to Winterize your humidor is a bit excessive don't you guys think? I enjoy the slow pace in the cigar review vids, but I agree that instructional vids should be more to the point. Keep in mind you're reaching a larger audience than your website fans. Keep up the good work.

  • love the tips..but get 2 da point..we know its part2 and we know ull be back..so get 2 da point..

  • Cool vids. I will be upgrading...I'm in Michigan and was pondering this issue the last few weeks. This is my first winter with my humidor...

  • If you don't wear pantyhose, then how do you know "the're not your size"??? How do you know what size you take, if you don't wear pantyhose??? (just yankin your chain dude, love your videos!)

  • just bought a humidor, and now some beads and a mesh bag, thanks a ton for this!

  • hey great video. jerry. winter is coming up and i will have no casualties this year!

  • sorry! i know this might not have been the place for this but its 5am in the morning over here and the link to your site wasn't working.

thanks again for all the info! keep up the great work!

  • also if i understand correctly, the beads keep a constant 70% humidity when charged. so in theory could you use them to calibrate your hygrometer? so either way if you hygrometer is off then could i just place it all together with the freshly charged beads and if i saw a drop in the % i would know to just recharge them?

  • just a question though. im looking to purchase a humidor and i noticed you said the digital ones are more accurate, but can sometimes be a lil off so i can keep a mental note. i thought the analog ones would be similar though, and i heard they can be calibrated with a screwdriver in the back of it like a watch. did you mean to say that the analog ones would constantly fluctuate so i would have to check it and calibrate it over and over?

  • great videos! educational and entertaining. thanks a lot for posting these! i love that you have great ideas and alternatives for guys like me who are just starting out. the beads look to be and a great investment

  • jerry loved the video's. you did a great job!

  • hi jerry, your tips have been both interesting and useful and your videos are great to watch. Thanks for your help with our humidors, Rob

  • Beads have lasted pretty well. They would've went a week longer but since I was going to be away from home for awhile I went ahead and recharged them before Christmas.

So if I hadn't of jumped the gun the original charge would've lasted two months which has exceeded my expectations. I will add one disclaimer. Here in the mid-atlantic its been a really mild winter so I haven't had my heat blasting on a regular basis yet.

  • So did the beads last a month before requiring re-charging?

  • Jerry, once again kudos on the video. It was both entertaining as well as useful. Your website is now on the top of my CIGARS bookmark.
