It's not customary to bow to the "British Queen of England" unless you are a UK citizen. It is, however, traditional to bow to the King of Saudi Arabia, and Obama was just trying to be respectful. He did the same thing when he met with the Emperor of Japan, and nobody accused him of being subservient to Asians. He is not sending the message that "terrorism and jihad is getting respect on the world stage;" that is a broad, arrogant generalization of all Islamic people.

does it really matter if he bows? I'm from the UK, so maybe theres something in american culture im missing? We bow or curtsy to our queen, or other any other royalty.
