the review is senseless. Sacha Baron Cohen manages to reveal people's chauvinism and superficiality and mock at gay iconography at the same time. brilliant.

0??? no way. She's totally missing the point about Bruno's comedy. Some of us find pushing the limits and testing how other people react to stupidity interesting and even funny sometimes. Laughter is never irrelevant. I'd give Bruno a better review.

I haven't seen the movie, but I don't think I would give anything a 0.
Even if she laughed once during the movie (I'm sure she laughed alot more) It would be worth more than 0.

irrelevant, its a fucking comedy its supposed to be irrelevant for crying out loud. Its only purpose is to make people laugh. That woman is just trying to sound smart and important, I bet she laughed her arse of at the film.

Transformers 2 has two stereotypical robots and people love it... THEY ALSO CANT READ and are either black or latino. I thought that was shocking coming from Transformers... Considering it wasnt a straight up comedy...

Even though the social commentary is entirely lost (unlike with Borat), and the "crazy gay for laughs" routine has been overdone, it's still a funny movie.

I haven't seen the film, I'm planning to wait for video. That being said...
The reviewer gave this film a 0 because she says it's "irrelevant."
I'd invite her to try living as a gay man in Texas and to then call this film irrelevant.
