totally agree with you blueshark...he was a gud player any owls fans remember his goal against Gillingham a few years bk now when he lobbed the goalie?? was an excellent show of technique, the other lad who i remember his mate Pablo Bonvin the Argie
I was at that match, r8 goal I remember Di Piedi lacked skill but was quick ,shame he was injured alot otherwise he might have become a really good player
That was a great goal, he came back to Italy where he play one season with GELA CALCIO 3 division, after that he returned to England and play for Doncaster Rovers, he just played 2 games, I don't know where is he now...
You say thats all he did but does nobody remember against Birmingham away in the 88th minute when he scored the winner and took his shirt off and put it on the corner flag? He was my hero that week.
i remember that, its only a bit better than the one he scored against norwich from about 25yds when he just turned and shot. pity he did nothing else worthwhile for us...

@100percentHARDCORE the fact we scored twice in the video kinda suggests it was more than 1-0 doesn't it?

I was at this game. September 11th 2001 wasn't it? Not surprising most people don't remember the goal.

Michele Di Piedi gioca ancora alla Nuorese anche ora che è scesa di categoria ed è un grande trascinatore oltre che un ottimo calciatore.

I meant to say the one against us was saved, OURS (Wednesday's) was scored thankfully

I was there for this one too... but that was in extra time, not injury time.
Great game, two penalties, one on either end. Ours was saved and I think they got a player sent off.
great game.
