Ah, the Democrat mentality: when the unions, entitlement programs, and busted government run out of money, just tax more. Don't reform them! Don't limit their grasping hands! Just tax 'the rich'! And then wonder why 'the rich' leave your state!
I work in a group home supporting people with autism. This program is funded by the state. If these measures fail, I may lose my job. Please protect funding for disability services and vote YES on these measures.
Most corporations in Oregon are family run businesses and pay out company profits as personal income. Which they pay income taxes on. This can and will put small busineses deeper into a finanical bind. This will cost jobs.
In a down economy it would be nice if the state government can trim some fraction of costs compared to what the private sector is going through rather then just trying to leech more money from the job creators. We dont need more taxs in any form, the state needs to control its out of control spending.
A minimum is just that a minimum. Do we really believe that this is how much Nike or Intel pays, no.
Remember Yes means you want to yourself and corpetations to pay more in taxes. No means you don't. Either way you choose to vote, just remember the way the vote counts.
If you live in Oregon and believe this garbage you deserve it! Who do you think will pay the higher taxes? Consumers and one thing for sure, companies will pull out of Oregon and you will lose jobs. Don't believe me? Look at California where I used to live, I could not wait to move my company out of that state and I left behind 163 good workers but I couldn't afford it as margins get thinner. THIS WILL COST JOBS!!!

It occurred to me the other day that the working poor always pay all of the taxes.
Most of the so called wealthy that make over $250k per year own a business. That tax becomes an
added expense that they just pass on to their consumers.

The subsidized poor don't increase governmental revenue because any taxes they pay would
have come from the government originally. Money in. Money out with no net gain.
The working poor are always paying all of the taxes in one form or another. They don't produce
anything at the scale necessary to offload the cost so they are the end of the chain.

Ironic isnt it that those who think to gain from taxing others are exactly the ones who lose out. Even
the subsidized poor lose because eventually there are not enough working poor (modern slaves)
to carry the load and they lose their support anyway.
Vote NO on all tax increases and force government to innovate with the revenue they already have
which is probably more than any government has had in the history of civilization!

It is my opinion that education gets hit the hardest because it hurts the most. We need to find the money
that education needs within the money the government already gets.
The legislature can redirect any state money anywhere they want and they regularly do. They will
say that the purpose of one tax increase is for one cause and then turn around and redirect it out
into another budget once it is in their control.
