I was at that publix thats close to 575. I was inside and then the lights turned off for like 5 sec. then the emergencey lights turned on. but then i went home but it wasnt raining yet so i was lucky to get home just in time!
dang you're right next to my friends house... only know because I noticed the cars. I live pretty close and that tornado caused so much damage for my friends and my house as well sucked.
I helplessly watched it approaching the house as I was driving up I-575 near Sixes Road. It was very unnerving as I lost contact with my kids and couldn't get to the house for over an hour. I ended up parking the car in Copper Ridge (where video was taken) and trying to climb around the downed power lines to get to Arbor View, where the other half of the funnel touched down. I am so thankful no one in our neighborhoods got hurt. I'll treat the next warning more seriously (under my new roof).
Wow nice vid. We got hit hard to. I live off of Seth Ridge Dr. I have at least a dozen trees down in my yard but somehow none hit our house! I'm suprised no one was killed. My heart goes out to those who lost their homes.
Boy do I remember this storm. 12 of my 25 trees fell in my backyard.

Where is Sethridge Dr? Is it in Woodstock? Also when did this storm hit? Was this the April 23 storm?

Tornado watch dropped? Did you mean tornado warning?
A tornado watch wasn't even issued that day. A severe thunderstorm watch was issued, however.
Local storm reports showed a possible tornado plus many wind damage reports 5 miles southeast of Holly Springs, GA.

Ahh, don't close the door; it was just starting to get good. Oscar, glad you survived bro. - LC
No wonder Atl planes are always delayed. Who's idea was it to put a major hub there?

WOW! That's insane!
Props on staying at your front door for that long, I would've been in the basement much sooner
