For windows Vista/7 it's basically the same except you don't have to install anything.

My iPhone has other then the standard Japanese qwerty input (just like your computer) also a kana keyboard. This has 12 keys. Most of them representing the first letter of the caracter. And then you can swipe it in a direction for the the second letter. No swipe = a, left = i, up = u, right = e, down = o. It's very confusing now. But I think that once you mastered it, you can type faster then qwerty.

You need to change your ISO standard back to English and that will remove the yen mark from your slash and default the web to English. Google the fix. It's easy.

Ok, I have a doubt. My keyboard isn't the american default keyboard, it's ABNT-2, it has Ç and some other changes in characters. My problem is that when in the "Direct input" mode it thinks I have a default keyboard and some of the characters are mismatched, like comma, colon, semicolon, period, slash, etc... How do I make it recognize my keyboard as ABNT2 in "Direct input"?

For the people that have vista and not XP it is even easier to install. You don't even need your vista disc! Just go to windows updates and look under optional updates and check Japanese Language and click ok. It will then download the files (about 200-300 mb) and your all set to go!
