@ilshwak Well the double lane change could happen if there is a slow or stopped car in your lane and you don't see it in time, so you swerve, only to find out that there's another in that lane so you have to swerve back. Plus, you probably travel on the highway where speeds are at 65+ mph
Who in their right mind would try to make a U turn in a 15passenger van (or anything "trucklike" for that matter) at 25mph? These vans are perfectly safe, its people who dont know how to drive them. Not only that, its a tottally unrealistic driving scenario. The double lane change was realistic,, BUT, the van was not completly out of control.
Soo... This is basicly a coil spring fittet onto leaf spring simply stiffening rear suspension... So we could get exactly same result by installing stiffer leaf springs...
Uhhh... Was I the only one who noticed that some crashes were on snow? I could flip my Blazer on snow. My neighbor could flip his Subaru in snow if it slid off the road and went in to a ditch as a high enough speed. Jus sayin.
stability control fixes all of this, and from what it looks like this doesn't stop the roll over ability of loss of control, stability control keep the car from lifting all the tires
Wells heres the best idea, if you have a van like this, just go out and buy stiffer suspension for it. not hard to figure out. Stiffer suspension will cause less roll and better traction. these vans were made for comfort not handling.
@adamslurch71 Put stiffer springs on it and it will roll harder roll bars and stability control is the fix. I don't know where you get your information but for my opinion its wrong.
@explorer20032004 Stiffer shocks in the back would keep the rear-end from rolling so much and dropping which in the video you can see allow the front tire to come off the ground. Stability control is for fools that cant drive, screw putting more electronics that can fail in a vehicle. I don't need a computer telling me what it thinks I should do to correct my driving. and roll bars would help as well its part of stiffing up the suspension. And as for your opinion..... hahahaha.
Use no-seats E350 Club Wgn. Did a deer avoidance maneuver similar to this test starting at 70mph (limit). Was about 3 seconds from hitting 2 deer so had to initiate first turn harder than test to miss them, then slid/overcorrected to avoid center ditch then swung/slid rear into the right guard rail at about 35 degree angle on the 2nd correction. Sliding the beast sideways, despite good tires & dry pavement was an experience. now 0/4 deer hits not including one that jumped hi enough to clr van
That drivers side rear tire is taking on a HUGE load- they need to test what would happen if and when there is a blow-out at a high speed with and without roadmaster.
Love my 89' Econoline E-150. Its long and tall but I've had to do maneuvers way more sever and at higher speeds a few times when I was on the highway so I think it might have road master
Because my youth leader is gonna be double lane changing and fish hooking to summer camp.

@corvetteboy10 He told how dangerous vans are in rollovers.
