Ah, I love this level. It's good fun, and the AI is so unbelievably oblivious at times. Whenever you set off an alarm, the guy in the room not 15 feet away won't hear anything. AI in games has come a LONG way. :P
You'd think that if a single alarm on the ship was tripped, it'd alert the entire ship. Of course, if your guards are nearly deaf, I guess it wouldn't matter how loud the alarm was.
True. I guess the level would just be way too hard if you messed up only once, though (that and the technology limitations of the PS1), which is why raising an alarm is pratically inconsequential.
I noticed. It's like that in a lot of games. I remember in European Assault, there's a Soviet guard you have to talk to to go into a hideout, and his voice suddenly changes from a stereotypical Russian accent to a monotone English one, almost in mid-sentence.
Are you one of those guys...
Screw this *bang*

One of the biggest mysteries in history to rank alongside the Marie Celeste - "How DID those German officers know your name?"

This game was great for it's time, but looking back, it's cool how far we've come since then.

If all the ship was alerted, the entire level would probably glitch out or slow to a crawl..
