i know the video is old,but boycotting a game JUST because of dedicated servers? seriously,there is a shitload of games out there that dont have dedicated servers and are still fun...
and much did these boycotts help? a lot of people still playing mw2 :D:D
I have downloaded the torrent and played SP throught on MW2... my point in this post is that Dedicated servers are good coz you can mod it like you want, you can create a RULES on to your dedicated server. and those hackers yeah, well usually there is admin online, or you can connect admins on their xfire or website etc. (given on server usually) so you wont suffer so much if there comes hacker you can inform admin and hacker will be gone. thats my opinion for now :)

if the game did have dedicated servers and modtools everyone would just have a machine gun that shoots rockets and the game would get real boring within a couple of days. lets not forget that dedicated servers and modtools were in the last game and whenever you wanted to play a good match you would have to download a file from the internet and when you finally get the match will probably be full of cheaters

Go look at GTA IV; undoubtedly one of the biggest potential games. They released it with no dedicated servers and there are about 6 people playing it at peek times right now vs 20,000 dedicated servers in cstrike. This game will fail hard without dedicated servers.

but then there are the cheats and hacks that are used on ranked games that spoil it,
modern warfare 2 is suppose to be played the way its created, not changed by mods to be zombies vs human games ect. and people saying its not all about mods, what about good connections and servers with a nice ping are stupid, iwnet will ensure a better connection than servers anyway
