@Harris185 Exactly. He tapped out and the referee had already told him to break and he held it on a second or two longer. He deserved to get punched in the face (and Renzo deserved to get suspended from working corners in that promotion (I assume Pancrase) again after such a prick like move. Then again, it's par for the course for Renzo.

I dont think the kick was "well deserved" at all. Nate tapped but Almeida kept choking him, even after the ref tried to pull him off. Nate got pissed, threw a punch, which WAS well deserved, then Renzo kicked him in the head. Why do the Gracies (and their students) always hold the chokes for too long? I guess it's because they know they suck ass and want to hold on to the feeling of winning as long as they can because they lose every other fight.

@sproednest With how long BJ held the rear naked on Pulver in their last fight, I'd say that's not the case. Lot's of fighters do that (even uneccessary punches) when the adrenaline and emotion is flowing. I do agree that skill and presence of mind helps you to know when you've won.

royce held the chokes in the ufc because he tapped out shamrock in his second fight then let go after shamrock tapped and the ref didnt know what that was. Shamrock didnt immediately admit that he tapped either.

The ref did his job. Soon as Nate tapped, he jumped in, but Ricardo kept choking him anyway. Renzo is a hot head, like a lot of the Gracies. He was one of the guys who went down to the Riccio families bar with a gun and beat up their fourteen year old brother just because they lost a challenge match to Damien (or Mattias?)
