  • @racer096- just because something is more popular doesn't make it "better" than something thats less popular. Example - pop music. It is obviously popular, and yet? It sucks. Sucks alot.

  • Yo-yo's > Tops. Is there even a world turny for tops ?

  • how do you do the bomerage

  • This reminds me of this game we played in the early 80's with spinning tops in New Orleans. great post.

  • i just bought 4 spinning tops online.

  • que buen video juegas muy bien felicidades

  • These spin-top tricks were created by many of the same players who created the yo-yo tricks. If I'm stealing them by doing them, then so are you every time you do a trick that you yourself didn't create. How about you post a yo-yo video and show us your skills. It's easy to bad mouth someone when you hide behind an anonymous avatar.

  • @racer096 These are essentially Koma, a Japanese spinning top. Koma has entertained children and adults of Japan for well over 1,000 years. Do some research buddy. :D

  • @racer096 So a Spin Top isn't a "real string toy" huh? Properly using a top takes a lot more dedication then properly using a yoyo. Trust me.

Also, I'm an avid yoyoer, and if you think that top spinners are "noobs". Then maybe you should have a talk With Yukki Spencer, Miguel Corea, Takeshi Kamisato and countless others... I have a feeling you know who they are.

  • @racer096 You sre very rude and this seems much harder than yoyo and do please post your top skills sense it is easy peesy

  • Wow what a cool video. I especially liked the wire walker trick. Very neat, thanks for posting this!

  • I imagine they have as much time as you do watching and commenting on videos about things you have no interest in...

  • Dang, how much time do these people have to get that good on something that is so unimportant to themselves or the world around them? Yeah, yeah I'll hear the arguement about dexterity and eye hand co-ordination but still....

  • @djfisher3

I picked up tops to include as a part of my magic, juggling and acrobatic show. I perform over 250 shows a year and over 10,000 people a year enjoy my shows. And I owe part of it to a hobbyist just like cowgirlSam. It might be silly to you but I've made my living out of performing the last ten years.

    Respectfully,

    Dan Chan

Check out my videos and enjoy.

  • yeah no big deal

  • Yeah Your right, but are top was wood and a nail.

  • D*** you are really good, i got my top from costa rica, they are really big there. I hardly know any of your tricks but everyone says that i am really good at it. I can catch and make it spin on the string but i can pull off really good tricks

  • Tops were big in the early 1960's along with yoyos. DUNCAN was the best. Some kids had the wooden ones with a metal tip, not the best for tricks . Check out ebay, you can buy original sealed in the package tops for under 20.00 from the 1960's.

  • wow, you're good... that makes me think of making my own top and start practicing...

  • I am inspired, Thank you.

  • lol i saw a yoyo trick its not rock the baby its rock the cradle

  • i make tops in my woodwork class! i make realy good ones!

  • Cool! Do you make this type of "throw top" or do you make finger tops? I 've made a few on my lathe but I need learn how to sharpen my tools so I can make some bigger better ones ;) I would love to see what you have made. I love all sorts of tops.

  • if you know how to throw it can you pls tell me

  • Wind the string around the "crown" or top of the top and then wind around the tip (winding away from your body if the tip is pointing to your right, assuming you're right handed) Hold the button in-between your fingers with the tip of the top pointing straight up. Keep your arm/elbow straight and throw top out in front of you. Don't let go of the string and the top will unwind and flip over and spin on its tip. If you search "beginner top" you will find a video on how to wind and throw.

  • how much are they??

  • Between $10-$15.00

  • I am soooo gettin of those!!!

  • were can i get a good one plz tell
