I like to use the manual mode, shooting many sunset pics on tripod, using low iso and longer shutter speed. I hope 15 seconds will be long enough, my fx500 can do 30 secs.
Very good demo of the manual mode, I am waiting for stock to come in to buy this camera.

i am considering buying this camera but i have heard that the image quality is pretty bad(cromatic aberation, purple fringing,high noise)...is this true??
also i heard that when handheld at 20X zoom its image stabilization is not enough and the pictures come out blurry??

Image quality is actually farely good. The purple fringing is only seen when zoomed in to about 150% of the image. Noise levels are low for a compact camera with a small sensor like this. Chromatic aberation is also seen only when zoomed out to 28mm and for a lens with such a big zoom range chromatic aberation is really small. The stabilization is really good and no camera can do better when hand held and zoomed to 20x(560mm).

Well, im no expert, but the camera seems to work just fine.
You can correct the full zoom problems with a higher ISO and shutter speed in manual mode.
