Yeee, i'm Daniel from Brazil, amazing guys, here in the southest Rio GRande do Sul state people don't know much the Obscured by Clouds album, it's my favourite number. Congratulations and break a leg!
I've been into the Floyd since 1971 & this is far and away the best tribute band mainly because they don't dress up like a bunch of gimps believing they are the band but rather just playing the music, great posting chaps.Great track as well.
For a cover band this isn't that bad at all. Nobody's gonna replicate Floyd in their heyday, but I give a thumb's up to these guys. Wish these bands were still around just to hear these songs live again. Thanks men.
@sineric18 You need 3 guys just to cover the talent of Gilmour , 2guitar and 1 singer. I hate this parasites bands. not to mention ummaguma and others.
@sineric18 Most recorded Pink Floyd had multiple guitar tracks and Floyd themselves added a second guitar player live by mid 70's so I don't think its too big of a stretch to do the same for a tribute band....
what kills me about floyd cover bands is that they play the album recording like every other cover band does... however as you should know the songs almost NEVER sounded like the recording... solos and all.... extended jam sections.. rick doin god knows what..... but the guitarists did that shit good i will say
xlgmalx...ya gotta remember man, nobody wants to go see a cover band puttin their own style on things..they wanna see as close a version of the band there covering as possible. otherwise whats the point? and this does mean they stick as close to studio versions of songs as they can. The only band who can put a spin on this track and get away with it are Pink Floyd themselves..otherwise this is a great cover!
Cover Bands of Pink Floyd are not something unprecedented... What is unprecedent is an Pink Floyd cover band with a good repertoire!!! And I see that you guys does have an good one.
I remember seeing these guys in Pflugerville on July 15, 2006 (my one year anniversary of quitting smoking). I went to celebrate... these guys did an incredible job... They ended with "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" & "Goodbye Cruel World" (very, very nice!!!)
This is such a good song. It's pop, has a heavy groove, and is one of Pink's best song in my opinion. Not really deep, just real rock'n roll! And you guys cover it very well. I love the way you pause between notes in the intro riff. GReat stuff. Check our Pink Floyd's cover. Ciao
Great cover of a truly great song! Unbelievably overlooked album Obscured by Clouds..happens to be the album I heard first of theirs as a 13 year old. Pink Floyd have been with me ever since.
I really thank the guy who recommended me PF "Obscured by Clouds" album. It's fantastic, if you like Pink Floyd you should really get this album, you won't be dissapointed. Now it's one of my favorites. God, almost every Pink Floyd album is great!
Cult or not, this song alone beats 80% of the stuff on The Wall album. Not denying that the Wall is a hell of a artistic masterpiece, not musically though.
Wow! I am surprised anyone else would be interested enough in this song to cover it. And yes, listening to anything before DSOTM is considered by critics as cult following PF. Even PF themselves disown the greatness of Atom Heart Mother. v_v
i like the tone of the solo but it sounds like u should be letting the notes ring more
thats just my opinion...but awsome over all
