I'm a guitar player just starting out with the Mandolin. I wonder if you could give me a little help in playing your version of "Wayfaring Stranger"? Chords, tab or anything would be much appreciated.
This is probably the best rendition of this song I've ever heard, without a doubt. Is there any way you could give the chord progression for this song? I've figured some of it out just listening, but a little help would be great. Keep up the good work!
hey were did you get the chords for this song, i found some but i dont think they are the right chords, if you could email them to me that would be awesome my email is cowboymike0307@yahoo.com
hey look it wolverine lol, your good man ill have my mandolin next week and then ill have some videos for you to watch, im just a bluegrass man my self.
Well done my friend. I was looking for a rendition of this classic song that spoke to me and this was one of the few that did. Wonderful voice and playing. Thank you.
I bought "new old songs" love it and was wondering if you have plans for another album soon?. You sir are an inspiration and there are those of us who want more !!!!! This song nearly moved me to tears by the way!
Your link to the CD is messed up. You put a space after the "j". It sends you to Jason Ferguson's CD. Just thought I'd let you know. I love your work, by the way. Is there any way you might end up putting your music on paper for others? I'd be willing to purchase a book.
Jesse,,, i am a huge bluegrass/ traditional fan,, and i have heard this song hundreds of times,,,,, but ,,, this is my favorite version ,,, You Rock , your voice is made for this song , and the simplicity of the solo mandolin along with your voice and passion, makes this 1 of the greatest performances of this song EVER !! TYVM !!
Hey Jesse; all your stuff is authored from such a relaxed/skilled stance. I looked at the Johnny cash vers. to try chords. I find Am,Dm,F and C feathured on mando but can't tell what you play... any chance at showing your chord progression?
i have just sat here and watched and listened to about 10 different clips of this song.. from famous to not so famous... u make em all look bad... great performance, i am glad i found it and have added it to my favorites so i can be sure and get back and listen to it again and again
Wow! Great rendition of this song. You really honor the its spirit and are one of the few ppl who do it justice. (Good choice to do it sitting too. It's a sit-down kinda song)
While I normally gravitate more towards your rock pieces, this one's made it to the top of the list for me as well. When I listen I can picture you in the era from when this song was written...
That was one of your most genuinely heartfelt performances, Jesse. Loved the song when I first heard Jack White's version but you've worked your "bard" magic on it, to make it even more beautiful. Thanks for sharing it with us.
ps. I agree with the comment earlier - you should give Rise by Eddie Vedder a go!
Well done again, Jesse. Have you heard the song by Dead Can Dance entitled 'The Wind That Shakes the Barley'? I would LOVE to hear you give that a shot. Check it out, I think you'd like it even if you don't try it yourself.
Awesome job man, everytime I fire up you tube I find myself searching for new vids you may have posted, keep em coming

You made an interesting choice keeping the bridge section in a minor key. I generally hear it go into major there, but the minor works.
