  • IT WORKED THANKS SO MUCH XD

  • have hiccup 3 hour this mornimng stooped for 4hour back again ,,, had surgery yesterday

  • @lance1236451 I had surgery a few months ago and developed hiccups afterward. I'll confess, the cure didn't work on my post-operative hiccups. Had 'em for a couple of days. But they did fade. Hope yours clear up soon.

  • Ok. Listen up people..This is fucking crazy.I have been drinking rolling rock beers(maybe 6 or so)then a few cans of steel reserve 211. I don't usually do this from drinking but i developed hiccups. Well i am a very open/strong minded person, while i was listening to music,I just couldn't stop hiccuping. For atleast an hour and wanted to enjoy my last beer before bed, Well typed in"how to cure hiccups"and i found this video. The hiccups was annoying but are now gone thanks to mickeleh! THANKS :D

  • @Compelled2High I just can't belive this... This is fucking insane, they are really gone!!!

    :D

  • @Compelled2High I even used water to swallow the sugar, And it did the job perfectly!

  • it worked like magic! :)

  • hey I just clicked on this video and my hiccups left =P

  • @Becauseoflisa i read your post and my hickups went

  • Worked for me before I even got the sugar, weird. I had the worst hiccups ever and then when after I watched this video they were gone. I took the sugar anyways just in case. They haven't come back yet.

  • I was about to say "damn, I'm diabetic" in the middle of the video, and then you said, "diabetics, I think that means you" XD

  • Didn't work, and it's been going on for more than 7 hours.

  • I always found that gargling water helps.

  • doesnt that suck ive been hiccupping for 30 minutes and im diabetic

  • 18650 people are having hiccups ;)

  • Just tried the sugar method, it worked for me. Thanks Mickeleh :D

  • just watching this cured them

  • it worked :)

  • Holding my breath works for me 100% of the time.

  • It worked thank you

  • None of these cover the best method. very simple... bring your shoulder as close to your chest as you can.. INHALE as much air as you possibly can. Hold for about a second, DO NOT EXHALE, then throw your shoulders back as far as you can pushing your chest forward. It might hurt a little because it will create alot of pressure in your lungs, i believe this works because it pushes on your diaphram kinda resetting it or somthing... Thumbs up if it works

  • @urielu46680 I tried it your way just now, it worked! Thank you so much!

  • wow this video helped!!!! my hiccups stopped as soon as the video ended.

  • you don't even have to drink water backwards. You can just put water in your hand and slurp it slowly.

  • my hiccups stopped while watching this video!

  • thanks mickeleh... was suffering from hiccups all through supper.... works like a charm.

  • it actually works lol!!! wow thanks man!

  • ¿pɐǝɥ ɹnoʎ uo ƃuıpuɐʇs ʎɹʇ

  • oh my god, it works. My marius was had the hiccups all the time, and with the sugar it did work! I cant belive it!!! He is so happy right now!!!

  • it works for me. Thanks bold dude ! Cheers! :*

  • Ok my theory on this is that it will work for people that are addicted to sugar. Why do I think this? Because I'm addicted to sugar and when my blood sugars low I hiccup like a mofo, then when i eat some sugar they magically go away. So I'm pretty much on a pound of skitlles a day diet. Who knows tho, just a theory.

  • I started watching this video with the hiccups, and they were gone by the time it finished. This video is the cure. No sugar needed.

  • i find holding my breath for as long as i can a few times works a treat... and no calories!!!!!

  • stick your fingers in your ears and have someone else pour a glass of water down your throat. Seriously it works....

  • drinking water upside down has ALWAYS worked for me.

  • How is that gross? When I've swallowed sugar I've found it to be delicious!

  • I'm impressed. it cured the hiccups.

  • Spoonful of Peanut Butter, works every time.

  • @asdfqwertyfour

Good lord! I just tried this, and the hiccups disappeared almost instantly!

    Effective and tasty.

  • I don't need it. I haven't hiccuped for more than 3 times in a row for more than ten years.

I just decide not to hiccup anymore, and it stops.

  • i had hiccups for the last hour, watched your video and... i'm cured!! i swear. although i didn't eat any sugar.. just by watching you..

  • My personal cures are drinking pickle juice, or straight lemon juice. The pickle juice sounds kinda gross, but i personally like the stuff. I have yet to try the sugar, but maybe one day, when at absence of my pickles, i will have to give it a try (:

  • Tried this out after non stop hiccups for fifteen minutes. Thought it'd be ridiculous and worked first time. I love you ;3;

  • I think it worked for me but I don't think it's the act of taking in the sugar it's the gag/puke reflex that cures you.

  • it's worked thanks

  • WORKED! WORKED! WORKED!!!!!!!

Because of you I am no longer an atheist, you are my new GOD!

  • omg... i do this with a spoonful of vanilla icecream. have done it for yeaaaaaaaars.

  • I get hiccups every single day since i was born and i'm 17 lmao :D xx

  • didn't work :P

  • wow it did help!!

  • Wow it worked :D thanks

  • it didnt wooork D:

  • @JohnTheSpider Sorry, JohnTheSpider. Some comments mention an alternative: spoonful of peanut butter.

  • @JohnTheSpider Did you dislike? XD because it didn't work for you =3

  • @panos21r1 Nope :p Just because the cure didn't work for me doesn't mean I don't like this video :P

  • @JohnTheSpider Well, when I first saw this video, I saw your comment, and it had 1 dislike.. So.. yeah xD

  • Depends: dignity or relief? Your choice. (oh. And you can do it in secret and not tell anyone)

  • im afraid someone will think im weird if i do this...should i try it anyway?

  • Thank you for saving my night

  • I wonder, why this video is categorized "comedy" .. Hmmmm

  • I take 2 ... However, it still work.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH. IT WORKED!!!!!!

  • Dude. You are a GOD. I tried it with a packet of raw sugar less than a minute ago. AND I'm CURED. My children will know your name when sugar defeats their hiccup.

  • i can cure hiccups with other way.that is sneeze.first, take a tissue and twist it to a nail shape.then, insert it in your nose.you will get a sneeze.hiccups gone.100% work.not fake.thumbs if you try this.

  • i cant believe it actually worked! i was struggling for over an hour and this trick WORKED!!!! THANK YOU MICKELEH :D

  • Loll I didmt even have to do it it just happened I was still goin at it when the video started but when it was done I was cured lolll

  • Worked instantaneously for me! You sir are a gentleman and a scholar and I thank you.

  • it didnt work for me!!!!!

  • it didnt work for me!!!!!

  • i have two things to say, first of all it does work "and works well" amd second thank you!!

  • solved it :) cheers!

  • thanks mang

  • Actually there is a better way that doesn't involve sugar...

    ...just pull your tounge...

If you slip use a tissue or towel. It works for me 100% of the time.

Of course you are not going to believe me which makes you sorry bastards.

Well, it is not my loss...

  • thanks mickela, it re

    aly worked like magic.

  • Omg i had the hiccups for 30mins straight i started getting pissed off came to youtube found this and it worked loooool!

  • I was a non-believer. Regardless, I stuck a spoon full of sugar in my mouth like a big Mary Poppins dope-head, and low and behold, my hiccups vanished instantaneously. Yes, it works.

  • net tip: shaving with butter...

iv have completely stopped using shaving cream (for well over two years) b/c an easy/better substitute....hair conditioner.

my face feels buttery smooth after and I can buy a huge bottle for $5. ..plus my wife uses it anyhow ... so we no longer have "shaving cream(s)" in our house.

  • wow it actually worked. usually i laugh so hard to that i get the hiccups. i thought that it would be a trick but it actually worked

  • it didnt work for me :( ive had the hiccups for 2 days now :( its starting to hurt

  • Maybe it does.. But i have a better cure... and it works like a charm ... no money required.. no item needed... and i had tested it.. with many people who are having hiccups.. and it works...

  • Had the hiccups that wouldn't go away. went to youtube searched, "the cure for hiccups". it worked as soon as the sugar touched my lips. however i do advise wetting the spoon before so the spoon isnt difficult to use.

  • I have the cure for sneezes! works almost instantly. If you have that little tickle in your nose that just won't go away or if you need to sneeze at a really inopportune time, just press your tongue up against the roof of your mouth and the sneeze vanishes. can't remember where I heard this, but it works.

  • i sometimes gets hiccups and what i do was to drink a glass of water upside down and it works 100%. ill try this one if ever i get hiccups and ill post if its gonna work. thanks!

  • Nope. This didn't work for me.

  • I defiantly don't mean to sound like a smart ass here but people with TYPE ONE DIABETES can do this.

  • It works for me! But I suck on the sugar before swallowing it... I don't know what that has to say, but it works!

  • Why would eating sugar considered gross? It's sugar.

  • Now i just need a foolproof way of getting the hiccups so i can see this work on my own

  • A diabetic-friendly cure for hiccups is a teaspoon of vinegar. White wine vinegar is best, but I think any will work. Not sure why though.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! WORKED FOR ME!

  • I had hiccups all damn day. Grew desperate since things were getting out of hand; tried this cure and all was well. It's practically instantaneous.

Thanks for the advice, man. You have no idea how much these hiccups were driving me mad.

  • Can I let the sugar melt in my mouth?

  • @MrJake549 No. (according to the original article.) But in the interest of science, why don't you try it and report back.

  • @mickeleh Yes sir! :D

  • @MrJake549 I didn't listen carefully to the video and let it melt the first time... didn't work. By just swallowing the sugar it totally worked though.

  • I love your voice!! I would love to collab on something some day! You Rock!

  • god, you're so awesome!!!

  • you look like my dad

  • Hahahaha, Wow, I came on YouTube to find a cure and did just that. Worked for me! Thank you so much! ...cursed hiccups...

  • ya know the sugar trick didnt work for me but it almost did, ive done some research and i think it has more to do with trying to take control of the diaphram, breath heavy and controlled.

  • I chug packets of sugar without hiccups. It's like candy, except without the artificial stuff, so it's healthier, and it's harder to eat tons of it, because you have less and it doesn't look decent until you open the packet.

  • almost worked....

  • I totally discovered this myself one day. nice.

  • this is by far the best hiccups cure ever. its only not worked on me once... boy that was a terrible night.

  • Totally worked ^^

  • My son freaks out when he gets hiccups so I started this with him last week, and it worked all three times he got them. Course, now I have to make sure he really does have hiccups, because he tried faking it once, to get the sugar.

  • Ick? I've eaten spoonfuls of sugar for fun!

  • I just wanted to watch this video again so I could be the TEN THOUSANDTH VIEW.

    No biggie.

  • A note, this cure doesn't work if you consume ungodly amounts of sugar on a regular basis. Otherwise, it really does work quite well!

  • Just wanted to say that this worked brilliantly and I can't wait to test it out again cause just because it works once doesn't mean it will always....

And on a personal note....where've you been Mickeleh...I'm worried sick about you. I haven't heard your hilarious truths about the world and I'm just really missing that in my YouTube life...just concerned...

  • I told my sister to do this and it totally worked. I geeked out a little.

  • I am so dyslexic today. I thought this said "How to Hire Octopus".

  • get to the point old man!

  • duuuudeeeee POST MORE VIDEOS!!!!

  • IT WORKED FOR ME!!!!!!!! THANKS SO MUCH!!

  • @lindaandcorkababe Glad it worked.

  • Whoa, 0 dislikes? Mickeleh is too awesome for that. This should have -5 dislikes.

  • Seinfeld season 9 episode The Butter Shave

  • @JKos14 Yep. But I knew about it before then. As I will reveal in the video I keep postponing finishing. I'm hopeful to get it up this weekend.

  • Mickeleh are you alright? We haven't heard from you in a while, post a vid up soon so we know you're ok!

  • yummmm. thats a delicious cure!

  • Now, for the first time ever, I wish I had the hiccups!

  • didn't work... but peanut butter did.

  • Thanks very much. Had not heard this one before. Worked as soon as I swallowed the sugar. Brilliant.

  • I don't remember which video you said it in, but at some point you said you live in Kirkland and I realized that I grew up there and I'm there every Tuesday to see my Grandma, and even when I'm not there I'm in Redmond only twenty minutes away, and ever since I realized that I can do nothing but think about how awesome it is that I have probably seen you at some point and just didn't know who you were.

I hope one day that I am famous enough that I can meet you and have you talk knowledge at me.

  • Is mickeleh dead?

  • @DrQuijano no he logged in 18 hours ago

  • hope your ok..

  • Tried it, did not work, I'm sorry to say.

  • Peanut butter also works the same.

  • Did you die or something? You haven't posted a new video in forever. I demand an explanation!

  • I work in Public Health for the US Air Force, and I suggest this remedy to friends, family, and especially co-workers who have the hiccups, because it truly works (except for my brother... he's diabetic. Bad idea, no?)

  • Mr. Mikeleh can you please kindly make some more videos? Please!

  • i am in need of a new upload, the tube needs solid material real fast

  • Great shirt! Very Funny! Glad Tom is ok. Hey, your influence inspired to at last post my first video on YouTube today - Birthday Star.

  • There's also a pressure point in between the joints of your middle finger.

  • oh tom!

  • Must be time for a new upload?

  • More videos please, we are going through mickeleh withdrawal!

  • Just tried this as I have had them all day (its now 5:30pm) and it worked! AWESOME! Thanks :D

  • I tried it, and it worked awesomely!!!!

  • Notice Fred has gone all up market with his last two uploads, and boy is he pulling some amazing views. Gone is the self shot video style. Now there is a slick production feel and very tight screenplay.

  • @leokimvideo What? You're asking me to notice Fred? I admire what Lucas has accomplished on YouTube. He's smart and savvy. He created a well-defined persona and world view and he's delivered on it consistently. He built a huge following. He's earned his success. But I don't enjoy his channel. OK for you, I'll take a look.

  • I tried the sugar...didn't work. My husband thinks I let my saliva get the sugar too wet. So I tried peanut butter like @hrrypttrfn suggested below...it worked! <3

  • Prank calll the number on my page and u will get a free subcriber

  • I usually just hold my breath and swallow three times. That does it for me :-)

  • @andyDZ heyy i just tried this and it worked! thanks

  • Just on the sugar issue, does the rest of the world have a McDonalds coffee with sugar via the drive through which is never stirred?

Surely it's a no brainer to use a syrup sweeter to sugar up a drive through coffee.

  • This could really come in handy next semester XD

  • I have also heard to hold a spoonful of jelly under your tongue... never tried it tho

  • CHARLIE!

  • @MissZombieBarbie Do you mean TOM!...?

  • Thats not so bad!

It sounds better than a Teaspoon of salt!

  • So, sugar you say. Woohoo! Great excuse for acting like a maniac. "I had the hiccups so I had a spoonful of sugar to stop them, only to cause uncontrollable shaking and random outbursts of high pitched piercing sounds" :P"

  • @Me8129 Life is always about tradeoffs, isn't it?

  • @mickeleh Indeed, haha!

  • What exactly is gross about eating sugar? Sounds tasty! ;)

But quickly chugging a glass of water always does the trick for me anyway, so it hardly matters. I'll keep your tip in mind for others, though. :)

  • I use peanut butter! My grandad taught me to.

  • All I do is drink something while holding my nose. Works every time :)

  • Well, it worked! Is there something other than sugar that can be used? Just drinking a bit of water usually does it for me, anyway.

  • @toomuchxstereo Glad to hear that. As for alternatives, I'm not the expert, but read through the comments. Several other hiccup remedies are mentioned. One of the most popular alternatives to sugar is peanut butter. (mentioned by @7Flyleafrks7, @mycyanidegirl, @LadyStormi, and @hrrypttrfn)

  • i was drinking last night and my friend had the hiccups, i told her to eat a spoonfull of sugar, she hesitated but eventually she did it and IT WORKED! thank you.

  • Another cure that always works is drinking 9 gulps of water without breathing and then burp it up.

  • Peanut butter works for me. But in my opinion a spoonful of sugar is preferable to a spoonful of pb!

  • I tried this, big issue was I was on a sugar high and went crazy for a hour. I prefer the hiccups.

  • I have a cure as well, but I don't know how well it works with others. I only know that it works for me and one of my friends.

  • why couldn't I have watched this ten minutes ago when I had a severe case of the hiccups? Darn it...

Usually I glug water while holding my nose. That works for me. But I'll have to try the sugar thing next time I get hiccups ^_^

  • meh, idk if itll work but i've got my own cure. i never works for anyone else, and i look like a fool, but it works almost every single time xD

  • I get hiccups every damn day. I will try this, although perhaps not everyday. Holding my breath contains significantly fewer calories.

  • i've done this since i was a little kid... i've found it works less over time but it still works pretty often for me.

my mom used to put the sugar on my tongue and tell me not to swallow til it was all liquified... i think the giggling that entailed helped as much as the sugar hehe!

  • it works i got the hiccups a day after whatching this and it works
