Different unicellular organisms ended up in different environments. Every offspring is slightly different from it's parents, varying due to slightly different environmental changes. I'm not sure what you're saying here, but it seems to be a more garbled version of "but why are there still monkeys?" To which the answer is: there aren't, not the kind we evolved from. The monkeys we evolved from are 25 million years dead. Over that time, their surviving descendants, based on the specific environment of the time, changed in many ways, into humans, all apes, and a few living monkeys.

Different unicellular organisms ended up in different environments. Every offspring is slightly different from it's parents, varying due to slightly different environmental changes. I don't understand this guy's resistance to paraphyletic classification in common parlance. Outside research biology, where better terms are used, no one uses these terms that way, or should - an ape is a hominoid outside the genus homo. A monkey is any other simiiform. This is roughly the historical sense and the sense best suited to communication outside a very few contexts. What's wrong with otherwise ubiquitous "definition by exclusion," unless it becomes the base of a circular argument?

The monkeys we evolved from are 25 million years dead. Over that time, their surviving descendants, based on the specific environment of the time, changed in many ways, into humans, all apes, and a few living monkeys.

Evolution bullshit? Why would evolution eliminate monkeys and apes? The monkeys and apes have evolved alongside man from common ancestors. They are supremely well adapted to survive in their natural environment, thanks to the effect of natural selection on the phenotype. It is difficult to observe evolution in action except in the small changes observed in organisms with a rapid reproduction cycle, such as bacteria. But bacteria have evolved resistance to antibiotics, over a few decades.

...If humans don't change, how come we have diverged in our physical features over the last 70,000 years. This is only perhaps 2500 generations. It ain't much in evolutionary terms. Those differences were the result of changes in our environments, and they 'evolved' over time. I can see and understand this is a very emotional topic, but looked at without emotion there is plenty of evidence for evolution.
