You really don't need a well paying job to afford a sub $300 processor. You just need to take the initiative to save up for something that you really want.
The Fans that come with the Dual Cores or Quad cores, are bigger and better than these... dunno why...! anyway ... everyone always buy a thermaltake fan :D
you are totally wrong, there are a good number of heatsinks compatable with the LGA1366, some need a bolt-thru kit to fit properly. And there is every reason to OC the Core i7. I have a Core i7 920 and i am OC'd to 3.8Ghz stable, and there's room for more. Any AMD Phenom chip would be crushed...
Really Bad processor Core i7 980 is better yu cant extreme gaming on this thing i am not jealous really :D

Retail CPUs are fatter than OEM CPUs.
neelwebs 2 years ago
wtf are you talking about..
brandon5377 2 years ago
Retail boxes contain a cooler, badge and a manual. An OEM is a CPU only version. Most of the time cheaper.
TakeMeDown2FunkyT0wn 2 years ago 2
yes; but the physical processor is the exact same size..

you need to stop bragging about how you got an i7, it's not really necessary to record you opening a box is it?
and yes I'm jealous, what kinda job do you have to get so much awesome shit?
htfkid 2 years ago
The video was made for those who are interested in watching it.
I work as desktop support getting almost minimum wage.

The lowest price I have seen for the i7 here in Aus was about $800, that's quite a bit of cash
htfkid 2 years ago
$800 version was the 2.95Ghz there is 2.6Ghz for $450
Thushan44 2 years ago

He's not bragging, you stupid fuck. There's hundreds of "unboxing" videos because they serve to show potential buyers what to expect.

cooler is shit, just like all the other stock coolers from intel, goddamn push pin bastards!
nairb2693 3 years ago
There aren't alot of 3rd party heatsinks out right now that support the i7. So stock is pretty much all you got right now.
Plus why would you want to oc an i7? How much power does one man need?
Bojaxs 3 years ago
but its still an SOB to install!
