Is it me or does the J-10 have a lot of improved features that can be found on the J-7MF or F-7MF (2004), which is a heavy reinvented MIG 21, but still very capable to do the job?
I don't know much about the J-10. But seeing the development issues of the MIG 29 and Sukhoi 27 both choose more or less the same form, but development and mission adaption make the planes significent different.

China's J-10 Vigorous Dragon Is Definitely a copy of Israel's Air Industry (IAI) LAVI project and I believe the Chinese got the design and technology from those people who are involve in the IAI Lavi program!! China's J-10 Vigorous Dragon Is Definitely a copy of Israel's Air Industry (IAI) LAVI project and I believe the Chinese got the design and technology from those people who are involve in the IAI Lavi program!! i see eurofighter, f15 and gripen foreplanes, double delta from su15 and gripen/viggen, slim fuse from f16, high vis cockpit from f15e/f22, thrust vectoring from grumman/sukhoi/mig...a mix of all before it- like most other developments.
Perhaps the most disturbing thing everyone should worry about it that these probably cost China $5 each.
