Awesome presentation! So many people just give up because they think they're not good (or talented) at something, without realizing practice and determination can get them there.
Occasionally, it's useful to be able to get another taste of that old schoolroom someone-knows-where-I'm-going vibe of a proper lecture theatre lecture. I also read all the Schlock strips in the last four days. So thanks for this youtube vid series, Howard Tayler and UVU..
Re: the audio gaffe... perhaps one engineer was mixing commercials in the other booth, and "my" engineer was screwing around with things in the patch-bay. The result was an unexpected source drowning me out.
good presentation except the uvu discussion

Really good talk... would be even better if the audio could be fixed though. But I guess at this stage that's probably not possible.
Like MrJest2 says: "common sense isn't common".

Howard, this needs to be seen by... like, EVERYONE.
Serious evidence that "common sense isn't common".
Thanks for the presentation, and thanks for the story/comic.

Thanks Howard, You've given me a kick up the arse when i needed it most.
Love the comic btw. It's amazing how much your artwork has improved over the years. (does that count as a back handed compliment?)

First off, great presentation, Howard. Second, how does that mixup with the audio even happen?
