@Striskelion It doesn't help your grip, it keeps your wrist from bending too far backwards. Bending backwards too much usually ends up causing tendonitis. You see it a lot in this kind of weight lifting because when you have the bar overhead, the weight forces your wrists down suddenly and it can be a serious problem.
Admittedly hes in amazing shape, but roids dont have to just make you huge!! I could be wrong but hmm? His arms are massive, especially on the snatch section.
the paleo solution book that accompanies the program says you're not supposed to sleep with an alarm, and you're supposed to get a full night's rest. the guy in the commercial says that every single morning he has to get up with an alarm clock and resist the urge to go back to bed :D
The beginning statement about hitting the snooze button or getting up and getting to work has soooooo much meaning.... that statement itself made me change my mind about skipping my workout routine tomorrow morning...
I have to admit, I really admire and respect the fact that you showed yourself failing a power snatch. It just lent a lot more validity to your statements, and then when you showed yourself nailing it, was a lot more powerful for me. Expecting failures is a healthy mindset and aiming to overcome them is the course of true progress. Thank you for the video!
