  • Lovely ♥

  • lol @ Joey XD

  • the kid in the background @ 2:11 is havin way too much fun

  • Great song.

    Great band.

    A very good year ... 1970.

A great era in pop / rock music.

    From one who was there.

  • It would have been nicer if Pete was facing the camera so we could see his face. Great song by a talented band who didn't deserve what happened to them. I really like Tom's voice and he sure was a cutie back then! I agree that Joey is a jerk, twat etc.

  • I'm a Badfinger fan, but couldn't Tom atleast look like his playing the bass correctly? I know Tom picked up bass when Ron left... and thats Ron's bassline on the studio version here

  • @ZeroMinus007 Tom was an earlier replacement, wasn't he? I mean, earlier compared to Joe Molland, who joined the group actually after this song was recorded and released, I think. Tom had been with Badfinger for a few years by the time of this song, isn't that right? You say Tom picked up bass when Ron left. Was Tom on guitar before he was on bass? If so, he was certainly talented, playing both instruments and being a really good vocalist too, and being composer of some of their songs too.

  • I like how the guitarist is strumming a Gibson SG (a very scratchy, dirty sounding guitar) and NO guitar is to be heard XD

  • Joey reminds me of Paul McCartney

  • @hellosuzie123 I was just thinking the same thing...amazing how much he does!

  • A McCartney song he gave to the boys of Badfinger. GREAT!

    Danke!

  • #7 in 1970 - Thank you for posting this classic track. Please can you post the original 7" version> Many thanks - DAVEDJ

  • That German needs to switch to decaf! The Bad fingah!!!!

  • why did Paul gave his most awesome songs to other bands???

  • "The Badfinger, come and get it, yeah!!"

  • a great little song, fine performance by Badfinger and a good example of the way

Mcartney could just sit down and compse a no 1 record seemingly effortlessly, no wonder Lennon was almost mental with jealousy

  • @thatwilldonicely this never made number 1 and Lennon wrote class not we all stand together and mary had a little lamb enough said

  • @fosterfoster83 If you're saying that McCartney's triple dubbed, thrown together, one man band demo version of "Come and Get It" sounds better than Badfinger's recording of same, your ear for music must be non-existent....ouch.

  • This is the BBCs Radio2s SoundsOfThe60s Beatles A-Z song for week startg SAT7AUG10. History of the song can be heard for 1week after Aug7. Written by Paul & a hit in USA & UK in1970 BUT for Badfinger, who Paul signed to Apple & directed them how to do it. Also used in movie that featured Ringo; 'Magic Christian'.Demo version eventually released in 1996 on Anth.3. Paul sings plays drums, piano, maracas & base Guitar.Recorded during sessions for 'Abbey Rd' on same day as Sun King & Mean Mr Mustard

  • i would do anything to live in this era!!! so simple and nice. haha joey cracks me up =p just lovin the music

  • haha joe was havin a good time=)

  • UGH!!! canNOT stand Joey Moland. looks like he's trying get attention away from Tom Evans. just stands there moving his head around with that smirky, cutsie pie look on his face like he's so f&&kin special. and he's always talking to the camera. what the hell is that about?

  • rip pete and tom :(

  • My heart always aches a little when I see their videos. RIP Pete and Tom.

  • Great Song

  • RIP Pete and Tom.

  • saying they were a pet project of the beatles undermines their status as a solid act on their own, everything does not have to be related to beatles just because they are on the same label?

  • The Beatles set the standard for EVERYTHING that is Rock and Pop music EVERYTHING!!!!

  • @cast390 man you exaggerate EVERYTHING THIS IS WHAT YOU DO I think

  • bloddy faw faw i need the magic christian album BAD FINGER REALLY DELIVER, What a solid act, they should be called GREATFINGER!!!!!!! if Paul Mcflurry produced this, well good for him then

  • Hey, the term "retard" is completely outdated and offensive. These days we call them "trigs."

  • @rug3r44 Offensive? toughen up.

  • @rug3r44 Yeah, toughen up ya fuckin' insecure mook! Hahaha! Jokes! :P

  • The host is a retard doing a bad Bruno impression.

  • Joey Molland never could get comfortable in front of cameras. Check him out on any video out there. Tommy Evans on the other hand was born to be in front of the cameras.

  • @recordhead59

Joey was and is a twat.

  • @60syeah

The truest statement ever spoken. Talk about riding on others' coattails.

  • Does anyone know what year this was ?

  • @jhatchjr11466 according to Brando's pages it's suppose to be 1970.

  • Do I make you horny, Badfinger? Do I? Well, come and get it! Yeah! Come and get it! Yeah!

  • Respect to the death legend song writers and musicians ever please!

  • that dj fella is a pretty cool dude, funny too, obviously a badfinger admirer with a diploma in music appreciation

  • @robharding1957

haha robharding1957---I love that guy too---he just enhances this awesome clip

  • OHHHHHH.....I love this song!!!

  • Nice mention of Jellyfish. A short lived (and with as many members as they had, it's amazing they lasted as ling as they did) but stellar act. Search YouTube for "the ghost of number one" and see where Badfinger's sound went in the early 90s.

  • Who is that riptard of a host - whew drives me batty

  • It's beyond me who the host is all I found out was that this is suppose to be from Hit's a GoGo a German show co produced by Swiss TV.

  • I never knew what group this was from until now.

  • Da badfingahh...come on and get it, yeuh! lol the host is funny

  • "Badfingah" ...go and get it.....

  • Someone commented that their original version of Without You was crappy. Just heard it on Jango Music and it is brilliant as this song and performance of it is.

  • the original is the best =]

  • It was such a tragic loss that Pete Ham & Tom Evans both hanged themselves in 1975 & '83 respectively.

  • yes it is. They were artists who were cheated by management - it is so very very sad. SO much talent. I love their music so much

  • steve371970. You are so right. Plus the drummer Mike Gibbins died in 2005. Wow, what a sad story. Such brilliant musicians. They wrote & recorded some of the best songs. And of course, we know the rest of the story. Nilsson & Mariah Carey had major hits with Without You. Badfinger really got screwed over. But they really knew how to rock. Baby Blue, No Matter What, Day After Day, Rock Of All Ages, Name Of The Game, etc, etc.

  • SOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNYYYYYYYYYY

  • God, I forgot how much I love this song.

  • Comment removed

  • awesome

  • Harry Nilsson later had a huge hit with a song written by these two guys called Without You. They had recorded a crappy version of it that languished in obscurity, which he overheard at a party. The rest is history, a very sad history for them.

  • I like the beatles version better

  • You mean Paul's version..

  • but this version totally rocks!!!!!!

  • Yeah, it's a good song but so obviously lip-synced. No mikes! But, it's great to see Badfinger in any performance. Outstanding band.

  • um. . . what beatles version?? You mean the demo recorded by Paul McCartney?

  • its not a demo it was originally made by paul, the beatles were supposed to put it on their abbey road album didnt so when they bbroke up he told badfinger whose producer was paul to play this song exactly as he wrote it and it would be a hit and thats the way it happened

  • and without you is one of the most covered songs all thanks to pete ham. bless you pete where ever you are in heaven thanks

  • oooooh boy i love this song !

  • My fav version of this song, great job Bandfinger!! The host/announcer is pretty cool, introducing them as "the Badfinger", I agree with him they were THE Badfinger, there is no other!

  • Yeah, gotta love this announcer. This is great---a trip to the past, before the rap-crap. Love it! Thanks Chevy!

  • Their manager Stan Polley is an evil bastard. I say 'is' because apparently he is still living. That is a tragedy.

  • What a host

  • This song "Come and get it" was written by Paul McCartney for bad finger. The group Badfinger was a pet project of the Beatles, but when the the Beatles and Apple Records broke up, Badfinger was a forgoten project by the the corporation Apple Records that was created by the Beatles. The tragedies of this band that followed are sad indeed, and happened because of the break up of the Beatles.

  • Very tragic! they're been ripped off by f**king american manager & recording co.!!

  • may their manager burn in hell.

  • Little could they have imagined in this lip sync performance, just how horribly wrong their lives would go. Maybe pure failure is better than a taste and then failure. Their manager took everything including their lives.

  • Brilliant stuff. Thanks so much for posting!

  • Hey Chevy,

    Priceless Baby. What a treat.

    Thanks,

    Ray J

  • great stuff

  • Amazing!! Thanks so much for posting this!!

  • One of the best bands ever! So tragic what happened to these guys.

  • Nicely done Badfinger. This is my absolute favorite version of the song and vocals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wonderful song and so very uplifting !!!!!

  • Cool. Thanks!

  • Thank you for posting this!

    It's great!

  • Wow, great stuff. Thanks for sharing more of this show.
