Nice Video! I love that the more of us that goes natural the more educated everyone is becoming on the mechanics of our natural hair. I've done my own research and learned a lot of this a while back but it's always so refreshing to hear a nice new twist on some of it. Great job and cant' wait to see a tutorial on this hair do, it's so nice!
So much knowledge in one video!!! I'm doing my "catch-up on toyaboo2" time now. hehehehe.....I LOVE your hair & your face in this video! (and in every other video too, but ESPECIALLY in this one! heheheh) <3
@TheMzDiimples aww thanks girl. Yeah, I have my catch up days too. The holidays are ridiculously busy *sigh* time to get back on track...This editing is kicking my booty lol
My comment never got posted about you starting a new natural hair channel! Darn youtube! Anyway, I was saying you should start a new natural hair channel to become partner. But I just found out you have a beauty channel after seeing the collab new year's vid (I sub to MsVCharles as well as WhoisSugar) that's even better because you can just put the hair vids on there and not start a new one! Said with love! :)
@beautybynajah Thank you for your comment. You are truly thoughtful and I appreciate it ((LOVE)) Not sure exactly what I will do...I've come to a point of peace about this channel and not being partner...I'll keep that in mind though love.
So, here i am again..I am British and no offense to anyone, but i always believe the americans hair is better looking,,that's all i'm saying as to why i purchased my relaxer from america. 9 weeks in ONLY AND HAIR BREAKAGE??!! NEVER HAS THAT HAPPENED TO ME..GIVE IT 6 MONTHS TO A YR B4 SIGNS OF BREAKAGE THEN I'D STOP, GROW IT OUT AND TRY ANOTHER RELAXER. YOU NAME THE RELAXERS I'VE USED THEM, BUT 9 WEEKS?? YO, my hair must of been in shock or somethi' 4 real! That was a deep lesson.
Arrr, you're so sweet. Thank you for such a speedy response. I am into my 2nd attempt of going natural. GUUUUURRL, I WENT NATURAL FOR 7 YRS,,CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??? YES, MY HAIR GREW,,,But then i got hooked on you tube and started following the likes of shima girl and many others and relaxed my hair with a mild relaxer. I've never used mild before, and i was now convinced that it must of been something i was doing wrong...........wrong move...I have so much more to say but only 20 characters left!
Very well stated... so glad you brought the truth honey and didn't make it sound like everybody MUST use this or that or MUST do this or that. In my opinion, very natural needs to know this information you are sharing! Did you say coarse hair is porous? You did bring it girl! I can't wait for part 2! I LOVE your hair!!!! A million thumbs up!
Hi, i been subcribed to you for a while and you are so beautiful. I love your videos. I just wanted to ask, do you just place jojoba oil in your hair? Or do you use other hair greases in your regemin. Your hair is just so shiny........This is what i'm missing......Do you dye your hair as well? I don't wanna do mine, i'm too afraid. Please get back to me. Thanks
@RCIYAH Thank you *blush*...I use Jojoba as well as castor oil and coconut oil. So far those ar the only oils I use. My hair looks extra shiny b/c I used Gel that day, it was freshly washed and deep conditioned, and the lights hit it just right. I experience dryness and dullness just like everybody else. Nope no dying here! :-)
First of all you look so gorgeous in this vid, the hairstyle and accessory are too cute! Your demeanor and personality are so awesome. I love watching your vids not just for the great info, but because you make me smile! God bless u chica. x
Your hair is beautiful! I'm just curious, though: has anyone ever said to your face that your hair wasn't beautiful or insinuated that because of your texture it isn't beautiful? If so, what was your response? I ask because what I love about your videos is that you really are full of pride and admiration of curly and kinky hair but not everyone will agree with us. How do you think we should respond when they give negative feedback? Thanks! .-_-
b t w you look fabolous. I laughed at you video everytime i had to rewind the video to read what the captions. again thank you. question? they say coconut oil can be used as a heat protectant. that doesn't have silicones in it. can we just use that?
@moniquewtlc Good question. I've heard of people using it bc of it penetrability-and therefor protection, but I personally have never tried to use it alone as a heat protectant and don't think I will any time soon. I would have to do a LOT more research b4 I switch up. So far reg heat protectants have allowed my hair to bounce back to its kinks and coils so I'm happy with what I use when I do. I have a vid in the description box if you want to see.
Your hair is lovely and your eyes are so pretty!! Good to see another vid from ya!! I know you mentioned you wash your hair once a week, but do you ever go longer, say maybe 2 or 3 weeks??
I like your hair like this, very pretty. I also quit using silicones and sulfates in the spring of 2011 as an expirement. I use a very natural method to clense and condition, and my hair loves it. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
@brit04ney Hey Britney (and everyone asking hehe) I have a tutorial on this hairstyle coming up. Also, my makeup tutorial will be on my second channel dedicated to makeup and fashion 'toyabooview' It's linked in the description. Thanks for the compliment love ♥♥
I so love watching you....very informative and right on time because my hair is sooooo dry these days. If I don't moisturize every day I see AND feel the snap, crackle, and the pop all over the place. Will be waiting for part II.. Thanks, hun!
@kubasian No ma'am. I would not go out of my house in the winter with soaking wet hair. I dampen my hair in the morning for styling and moisture, but I don't recommend dripping wet hair. I wash only at night so by morning it's mostly dry. Avoid it if you can...Even just for colds sake. Yikes!
jojoba does penetrate the hair shaft as well as coconut oil, so i've learnt from research because the molecular structure of it allows it to enter deep into the hair follicles
@lvlyldy19 Anything Carol's Daughter (I like her shampoo and hair smoothie), Giovanni shampoo/conditioner and leave in, Eden Body works S/C, Coconut oil, Jojoba oil, Kinky Curly knot Today leave in and styling gel, Alcohol free gel or aloevera gel...That's about it!
You should start a new natural hair channel. (saw your vid on the subject) You are too good and passionate about this subject not to benefit financially! I know these vids take time and effort I am also a vlogger. Your subbies will follow you, I will def follow you! :)
