  • your hair is beautiful!

  • Ok, I have already watched this video, but just pulled it up again, and think I found my Valentine Date hairdo. Thanks, hun! ;-)

  • @lanicert Haha! awesome

  • Happy Black History Month. Self love and self acceptance is a stage we all experience and to see you coming out this video, it helps us all. It helps the newly natural, the long time natural and the chemically treated ladies and men all see that it is a choice we make to go natural. Be pro life and let back women live! No other ethnic group is judged so harshly for their natural hair! Live Beautiful Black Woman Live!!!

  • There are in fact non-sulfate clarifying shampoos that will rid the hair of dirt, oils, and build up. Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo is one of them. :o)

  • Her eyes are mesmerizing!

  • I love your hair in this video!!!!

  • Nice Video! I love that the more of us that goes natural the more educated everyone is becoming on the mechanics of our natural hair. I've done my own research and learned a lot of this a while back but it's always so refreshing to hear a nice new twist on some of it. Great job and cant' wait to see a tutorial on this hair do, it's so nice!

  • Great video and btw I just bought those same earrings to wear on New Year's they're so nice aren't they? :-)

  • So much knowledge in one video!!! I'm doing my "catch-up on toyaboo2" time now. hehehehe.....I LOVE your hair & your face in this video! (and in every other video too, but ESPECIALLY in this one! heheheh) <3

  • @TheMzDiimples aww thanks girl. Yeah, I have my catch up days too. The holidays are ridiculously busy *sigh* time to get back on track...This editing is kicking my booty lol

  • hair tutorial please on this look and the one from the "Happy new years" collab!

That would be awesome, they are both sooo cute and I can't wait to try them for myself

  • The way it was said to me...strait hair has shine, curly hair has sheen. I have notice strait hair shows more damage though.

  • @toyaboo2 have u ever tried WEN? it works for my jew hair. well it doesnt make my hair perfect but it helps a lot!!

  • My comment never got posted about you starting a new natural hair channel! Darn youtube! Anyway, I was saying you should start a new natural hair channel to become partner. But I just found out you have a beauty channel after seeing the collab new year's vid (I sub to MsVCharles as well as WhoisSugar) that's even better because you can just put the hair vids on there and not start a new one! Said with love! :)

  • @beautybynajah Thank you for your comment. You are truly thoughtful and I appreciate it ((LOVE)) Not sure exactly what I will do...I've come to a point of peace about this channel and not being partner...I'll keep that in mind though love.

  • wow ty for posting, i never knew these things :o

  • Very informative video.

  • You sound like you can do a really good southern accent lol. Great video and very cute hairstyle, going to use that!

  • Hair is super cute!

  • Very informative video! Happy Holidays!!

  • Great info!!!

  • You sound like Kim Fields .

  • So, here i am again..I am British and no offense to anyone, but i always believe the americans hair is better looking,,that's all i'm saying as to why i purchased my relaxer from america. 9 weeks in ONLY AND HAIR BREAKAGE??!! NEVER HAS THAT HAPPENED TO ME..GIVE IT 6 MONTHS TO A YR B4 SIGNS OF BREAKAGE THEN I'D STOP, GROW IT OUT AND TRY ANOTHER RELAXER. YOU NAME THE RELAXERS I'VE USED THEM, BUT 9 WEEKS?? YO, my hair must of been in shock or somethi' 4 real! That was a deep lesson.

  • Arrr, you're so sweet. Thank you for such a speedy response. I am into my 2nd attempt of going natural. GUUUUURRL, I WENT NATURAL FOR 7 YRS,,CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??? YES, MY HAIR GREW,,,But then i got hooked on you tube and started following the likes of shima girl and many others and relaxed my hair with a mild relaxer. I've never used mild before, and i was now convinced that it must of been something i was doing wrong...........wrong move...I have so much more to say but only 20 characters left!

  • I luuuuuuuuv your hair in this vid! Can you do a tutorial on how you did it? Pretty pleeeeese!

  • @vintagediva94 I have a tutorial coming up :-)

  • Very well stated... so glad you brought the truth honey and didn't make it sound like everybody MUST use this or that or MUST do this or that. In my opinion, very natural needs to know this information you are sharing! Did you say coarse hair is porous? You did bring it girl! I can't wait for part 2! I LOVE your hair!!!! A million thumbs up!

  • wow..10 mins in and i'm not bored yet.. good job girl

  • @sashoy18 Oooo that's a HUGE compliment. Thank you!

  • Ps, thanks for the vid with the advice and tips

  • Hi, i been subcribed to you for a while and you are so beautiful. I love your videos. I just wanted to ask, do you just place jojoba oil in your hair? Or do you use other hair greases in your regemin. Your hair is just so shiny........This is what i'm missing......Do you dye your hair as well? I don't wanna do mine, i'm too afraid. Please get back to me. Thanks

  • @RCIYAH Thank you *blush*...I use Jojoba as well as castor oil and coconut oil. So far those ar the only oils I use. My hair looks extra shiny b/c I used Gel that day, it was freshly washed and deep conditioned, and the lights hit it just right. I experience dryness and dullness just like everybody else. Nope no dying here! :-)

  • Ur hair looks awesome. Omg.

  • First of all you look so gorgeous in this vid, the hairstyle and accessory are too cute! Your demeanor and personality are so awesome. I love watching your vids not just for the great info, but because you make me smile! God bless u chica. x

  • @pookinapp16 Awww thank you :-D

  • @toyaboo2 hey girl luv how quick u reply yay 4 the tutorial and that I'm subscribed 2 both channels I will b on the look out

  • do you have any tips on how to help the sides of your hair grow?

  • Thumbs up for, telling nothing but the actual factuals... and your hair looks too cute!

  • Loved it!.. Thank you! waiting for part two haha

  • Your hair is beautiful! I'm just curious, though: has anyone ever said to your face that your hair wasn't beautiful or insinuated that because of your texture it isn't beautiful? If so, what was your response? I ask because what I love about your videos is that you really are full of pride and admiration of curly and kinky hair but not everyone will agree with us. How do you think we should respond when they give negative feedback? Thanks! .-_-

  • Girl, You Look GORGEOUS!!!

  • Ma'am, who cares about that. You are real fine up in this video. People can't focus with you looking all fancy and stuff.

  • @whoissugar #DEAD I just can't with you sug, I just cant! LMAO! thank you sis. You're a trip and a half (still giggling)

  • I love your eyes!!

  • @GorgeousGemini23 Hey sis! I've missed you! What in the world have you been up to?

  • I am loving the hair style!!!!

  • b t w you look fabolous. I laughed at you video everytime i had to rewind the video to read what the captions. again thank you. question? they say coconut oil can be used as a heat protectant. that doesn't have silicones in it. can we just use that?

  • @moniquewtlc Good question. I've heard of people using it bc of it penetrability-and therefor protection, but I personally have never tried to use it alone as a heat protectant and don't think I will any time soon. I would have to do a LOT more research b4 I switch up. So far reg heat protectants have allowed my hair to bounce back to its kinks and coils so I'm happy with what I use when I do. I have a vid in the description box if you want to see.

  • thank you thank you thank you!!!! i understand now. you articulated the knowledge of our hair very well.

  • i heard nothing you said, i just liked because you look absolutely amazing LOL

Please do a hair tutorial x

  • Your hair is lovely and your eyes are so pretty!! Good to see another vid from ya!! I know you mentioned you wash your hair once a week, but do you ever go longer, say maybe 2 or 3 weeks??

  • I think this is your BEST makeup look thus far! Looks great on you.

  • This is great information...ur hair is so beautiful!!

  • U look absolutely beautiful I love your hair like this please do a tutorial

  • I like your hair like this, very pretty. I also quit using silicones and sulfates in the spring of 2011 as an expirement. I use a very natural method to clense and condition, and my hair loves it. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.

  • Your hair is cute! What did you do in the back?

  • @brit04ney Hey Britney (and everyone asking hehe) I have a tutorial on this hairstyle coming up. Also, my makeup tutorial will be on my second channel dedicated to makeup and fashion 'toyabooview' It's linked in the description. Thanks for the compliment love ♥♥

  • I so love watching you....very informative and right on time because my hair is sooooo dry these days. If I don't moisturize every day I see AND feel the snap, crackle, and the pop all over the place. Will be waiting for part II.. Thanks, hun!

  • I want to know what is going on with the back of your hairstyle- tutorial?! Also, you look ABSOLUTELY adorable today!

  • Great info!

  • your face is so clear, and your hair is beautiful! yes lady!

  • Great video! I know this is a little off topic, but what nail polish do you have on in the video? It's gorgeous!!

  • @msshortysweets A black nail polish by Wet N Wild and Sephora by OPI "

    sparktacular" top coat

  • I just did the BC 3days ago and I feel naked.

  • What are your thoughts on wetting your hair in the winter months and going outside with a wet head? I'm nervous about getting sick.

  • @kubasian No ma'am. I would not go out of my house in the winter with soaking wet hair. I dampen my hair in the morning for styling and moisture, but I don't recommend dripping wet hair. I wash only at night so by morning it's mostly dry. Avoid it if you can...Even just for colds sake. Yikes!

  • please tutorial on that lovely hairstyle! :)

  • Beautiful hair style. Feminine with the flower.

  • This is the first video I've watched from you. Very informative!

  • @Raijay888 Thank you xoxo

  • O_O omg you look so cute in this vid!...plus im gona need a hair tutorial plz ma'am lol

  • Thank you for the information very informative :)

  • Also I couldnt help but notice ur face was extra on point, can we get a tutorial?

  • @omgrrrrrrrrrr Yes, the makeup tutorial will (eventually)be on ToyabooView. Link in description. btw, hey girl!

  • I felt like I could've watched this 4ever lol can't wait 4 part 2

  • jojoba does penetrate the hair shaft as well as coconut oil, so i've learnt from research because the molecular structure of it allows it to enter deep into the hair follicles

  • Can you list some of the silicone free and sulfate free products you use? Thanks!

  • @lvlyldy19 Anything Carol's Daughter (I like her shampoo and hair smoothie), Giovanni shampoo/conditioner and leave in, Eden Body works S/C, Coconut oil, Jojoba oil, Kinky Curly knot Today leave in and styling gel, Alcohol free gel or aloevera gel...That's about it!

  • I love your hair style and makeup. Very informative video. Thanks for the info.

  • I love your look in the video, the hair and makeup are both perfect! I'd love to see a hair tutorial.

  • Your makeup and hair look HAWT!!! You go girl....

  • You should start a new natural hair channel. (saw your vid on the subject) You are too good and passionate about this subject not to benefit financially! I know these vids take time and effort I am also a vlogger. Your subbies will follow you, I will def follow you! :)

  • Your make up is so cute in this video

  • Very informative :) oh you can get the shea moisture line at walgreens as well

  • <3

  • you look gorgeous hunny!!!!!

  • can you do a tutorial for your makeup look?

  • I really enjoy all of your videos. This particular one was very informative, thanks for all the research you did and for sharing with us.

.....has anyone ever told you that you remind them of Essence Atkins? :)

  • Hi @toyaboo2 Thank you for doing this video. I noticed in the video that you said that you do not use heat on your hair. Does that mean you dont go under a dryer to dry your hair? If so that must mean that your alternative for drying your hair is to airdry it?...and also what hair products do you currently use?

  • @Shanny9140 Correct. I don't use heat at all unless I choose to flat iron and in that case I don't blow dry. I let my hair air dry in twists or braids.

  • Thanks for making this video very helpful

  • love this hairstyle is can you do a tutorial on it?

  • You look stunning. Thanks for such an informative video!

  • You're right about the link between the cold weather and dryness. Thanks for the video! Love your hair style, by the way! .-_-
