Let's face the realities here....the Scandinavians (Norwegians, Swedes, Finns) are the best in the world in skiing competitions. The reasons for it are of course the conditions, tradition and the wealth of these nations. Don't expect a Jamaiican to be taking part in skiing competitions. Justyna Kowalczyk comes from a country which doesn't have the conditions for turning out world-class competitors in winter sports nor does it have the economic wealth (at least for now).
