GOD! I swear that every footloose production video on this site is horrible. How come every video i see has all tall, pretty girls and tall guys. Its like they were chosen because of their looks.
the vocals were pretty good, but could have been stronger on the female parts, and willard was epic (throughout the whole thing). Choreography was really dissapointing: it was very basic and not very up beat, which made it lack energy.
Watch STP Musicals version of this on the 5th - 8th august 2009 in Fareham, Hampshire :DD
you guys are really good=] i loved the harmonies, but for footloose and for a finale especially there wasnt that much dancing=/ and btw i love the dresses! mine was ugly lol
for the most part it was good. choreography was good but not great. that depends solely on your budget and time limit though. my school did it and the dancing was very hard. but we started it in december and performed it in april. so we had some time.
Also, it's kind of hard to give a cast of 30 each their own mic. When we did this we only had four mics and we had to switch them off backstage between songs. They didn't need mics, it was plenty loud enough with everyone singing.
I loved doing this show. We did it my senior year and it was quite fantastic. But I've been watching clips and you guys are great :)
For a high school production, this is quite impressive. The lighting, sound and blocking was done well. The harmonies could be better, but lets face it - a few months of prep can only wield certain results.
omg thats so strange. i did like the vi shaw thing. cute. but the dancing was awful. in my footloose, (were performing this weekend) we have fifteen complicated flips and dance steps, while singing at the top of our lungs.
not neccesarily. if you can sing well, and on key without cracking, its considered singing. we didn't have mikes so the singing loud thing was rather needed
choreography is pretty weak and kind of sloppy but great energy, vocals, and harmony!(:

The clothes for this scene were awful. Not 80's AT all. The singing on the other hand was actually quite nice.

Singing at the top of your lungs is not singing,it's shouting racket.
